Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Is this your actual serious opinion? Yes. The question for me is whether he'll stay relatively healthy. In other health news, this is a rather interesting read http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/davidi-johnson-hopes-to-return-to-blue-jays/ Included were some tidbits about Alex possibly willing to do incentive deals this off-season, which is a big shift.

Convo Verified Member Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 I'm sorry, is there something wrong with that line of thought? Yes there is... a healthy PED-free Melky probably gives you a slash-line in the neighborhood of .270 .320 .390 .710. That is extremely bad for a corner outfielder (or DH). He has no power, no speed, no defensive prowess. He's basically a singles hitter.
Convo Verified Member Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 BS! You have no clue! If anything I'm being optimistic.
Frenchsoup Verified Member Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 If anything I'm being optimistic. .279/.322/.360 this year so it's not going to get worse.

Geez at least let's see what he does when he is actually healthy (sans back tumor).
