Baker has a cap hit of 19 million whether they keep him or cut him. The Browns really should have had a buyer lined up before grabbing Watson, because I'll be surprised if Watson isn't suspended for most, if not all, season. Baker won't play for them, I assume, so you're spending a good chunk of your salary cap on two QBs who aren't going to be playing. Baker would need to go through the motions and actually play in order to get paid, though, so who knows. What a dumpster fire. Dunno what he'll do. Doesn't look like there's a lot of interest so he might have to swallow his pride and try to ball out in order to get a contract next season.

I'm not sure, I read that they structured the contract to have a minimal cap hit in year one in the case of a lengthy suspension for Watson.

 

E: yeah, it's a 10 million cap hit this year and a base salary of a million bucks. Scumbags. 55 million each of the following 4 years though, lol. All guaranteed.

Holy s***, this FA period is WILD. Tyreek Hill to Miami. When you have a noodle armed bitch like Tua, Hill is the exact type of player you want. He can turn a 5 yard slant into 40-50 yards. With Waddle, Gesicki and Parker...they're a QB away from being pretty scary.

 

Dunno how I feel about this. On one hand, I feel like this makes the Chiefs significantly worse. On the other, the Bills play the Dolphins twice and they have gotten a lot better. Are the Patriots the worst team in the AFC East? I think they might be.

This has been an insane offseason. re: Hill & Adams, the list of WR's who excelled after the age of 29 is REALLY short. I think Hill is a year younger than Adams, but it will be interesting to see who comes out on top with these trades.

I actually think Miami and KC both lose. KC gets worse and will not draft a player nearly as impactful as Tyreek Hill unless they somehow get a Jamarr Chase clone, and Miami has a s***** QB who will waste one year of Hill and then they'll draft another next year to waste 2 more years of Hill.
