Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 What I see in this video is Adams walking off the field with his head slightly down and this f***ing camera man walks right in front of him. Adams didn't need to shove the guy (nor should he have), but this guy also needs to understand the players are walking off the field after a bad loss and if he's going to cut in front of the path of the players entering the tunnel, he needs to stop and make sure the coast is clear - which he didn't. Perhaps easy for me to say as I'm not in that position, but I'd have hard time morally issuing a lawsuit against Adams because he pushed me after my own stupidity, simply because he's rich and the opportunity is there. If this happened between the cameraman and one of the Teams water boys - would he sue him for $150K in damages? Doubtful. Would you have tried to suck his dick on your way down? The guy was blindsided and had to receive medical treatment. When someone gets T-boned, do you blame them for getting in the way of the other guy? The Packer fan bias reeks. I liked Davante Adams but it appears he is of low character.
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Not excusing the Adams thing specifically but just making a general comment. This also has to do with the Draymond Green punch I guess. The industry expects these players to perform, fight, bleed like literal warriors for our entertainment... it's got to be hard on a human level to just turn that switch off when the game is over. And sometimes your body gets conditioned or hard-wired to react certain ways. Like with Adams, how many times a game, or week, does he have an impulse push reaction scaled to a 230 lb opponent when someone is suddenly in his proximity?

If someone gets t-boned when running a stop sign or even a yield, yes they get the blame. The mic guy should have probably yield to the football players as they were walking straight towards the tunnel. Adams probably didn't mean to push him as hard as he did, that guy looks kinda small and scrawny so it didn't take much to knock him over. What Adams did immediately after speaks the most, he should have stopped to see if he was alright and help him up, the fact he kept walking is what made him a dick.

Yes I agree, but it looked to me like it wasn't the whole team leaving the field, just Adams and the guy didn't see him. What he did afterwards is what makes him more of a villain. Like "I felt bad immediately after" but you didn't even bother to see if the guy was ok? You didn't even bother to apologize to the guy in person? You didn't even make the effort to find out who he is? f*** you. Yeah that's what pisses me off the most. Players can go on and on about how they love fans and respect staff and blah blah but so many of them just look at us like insignificant ants. "Sorry guy, whoever the hell you are, just take some of my hundreds of millions of dollars and go away."

Well, if he does he has to tamp it down or he'd be drawing a lot of offensive PIs. He's not a lineman, and as a player he's not even very physical. He sucks ass at blocking. So when he's in those tight coverage situations, he's actually looking to beat guys by slipping by them because straight up pushing them is a penalty.

It was also this guy's first day on the job, so it's also possible he didn't know wtf was going on. I feel the outcome might have been different if he had stopped to help, it would have also made Adams look slightly better.
