Can someone explain Tony Romo to me? Is he good, does he suxxx, overrated? I've seen him get a lot of s*** in the past.

 

Arguably top 5 QB. Was MVP caliber last year.

So can one of you guys explain why he gets so much hate? Is it more of a Cowboys hatred that is extended to him by virtue of playing on the team (thinking similar to A-Rod - Yankees or Pedroia - Red Sox here)?

He's thrown a couple of interceptions in the 4th quarter of big games so he has been labeled as a choker. Also the Cowboys haven't had much playoff success mostly because the team around him was s*** before last year, but the QB gets most of the blame in the NFL.

Him fumbling the snap on a gimme FG in the playoffs was a disaster. Literally lost the team the game.

 

He also seems to throw picks at the absolute worst moments and has the reputation of not being able to win the "the big game"

Honestly, Romo is my favourite non-Bill in the NFL.

Any suggestions on who to potentially give my NFL fandom to? Looking to maybe watch more football this year and I really haven't paid attention in the past outside the super bowl.

Going to be a tough game for sure. However I do believe the Falcons are the better team I know we will score lots but I am scared that we won't stop them from scoring. Most likely a high scoring game.
