dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 His arm strength is not weak... Sorry I misspoke. It is weak due to his mechanics. He rarely sets his feet and step up in the pocket to make a throw even in college. And even then, his arm strength is not above average.

My point is if he cleans himself up and dedicates himself to the game. Ie. Mechanics, prep/film work, ect he has the physical talent to be an NFL QB. My other point was it's impressive as a 22 year old kid he can man up and admit he needs help.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 I find it funny that no one is mentioning that Wilson threw a bad ball. Obviously they should have ran it but if he threw that ball towards the WR back shoulder it would of been a TD. I mean it was more of a great play by Butler than anything else but a better pass in that situation doesn't lose them the game.

I can't bring myself to watch the highlights. I had Seattle +1 and it's not like i had a large sum of money on it i just hate losing a ticket like that. Was it really that bad of a throw? I only saw it live and it looked like the DB just knew it was going to be a slant and jumped the route.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 A.K.A RG3... Give me a Andrew Luck, Manning, Brees, Brady any day of the week. You have to be able to throw in this league. Running is just a bonus but you can't rely on it. RG3 comment is pretty off base here, as he's known to be very intelligent

He was put in a terrible position by his OC though by calling a predetermined play to the middle of the field. If they really wanted to pass they should have called play action and let him roll out so he'll have a couple of options.

I heard Steve Young say it and no one else really. Agree with the bootleg as he could throw it away if nothing is there or even run it himself.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 This is pretty funny. Guy is chanting " Beast, Beast, Beast" and his reaction is priceless. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFvp4d9zX5A I was pretty surprised how they lined up. I thought it was going to be a delay hand off which was dumb because if the Dline get's penetration you can lose a good chunk of yards but my jaw just dropped when i saw him going for the pass and my reaction was just to laugh when they got the interception. So much dumb.

The defense lost it more than anything giving up two TD drives on NE's final two possessions.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 So they just played a clip of Darrell Bevell and he specifically said "yes, i call all the plays including the last play" or something a long those lines.

Wouldn't say the defense lost it though, you knew the Pats were going to put up points in the game.

Maybe the greatest defense of all time can't give up 2 tds there and leave it to the hands of your offense with all undrafted recievers to win the game.

The 2002 Bucs say Hi lol..... That being said though Tom Brady can make and team look like a JV team when he is on. Love him or hate him he is still the best QB in the league and if you are only a step behind he will burn you.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Tom Brady is so overrated. He is one of the best QBs to play in the last 15 years but if he didn't have Belichick no one would be talking about him being one of the best QBs. While we are on this topic theres nothing I hate more when I hear QBs being great based on how many rings they have. If Wilson throws a better pass last night then people are talking about Brady and not being able to win a SB after spygate etc..

Yeah... he basically dinked and dunked all night while his receivers broke a bunch of tackles for YAC yet the narrative is always "Brady doesn't have any weapons."

Another narrative I hate. While Brady might not have "flashy" recievers he has had some good ones and has always had a great offensive line. When you get 5 seconds to throw every pass it makes passing a lot easier..

dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Slant pass to Ricardo Lockette lol, I still can't believe it.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I wonder if this is legit. http://seattle.suntimes.com/nfl/7/72/695824/dez-bryant-video-released That would be really bad for the NFL and Bryants career if true.
TRM Verified Member Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 My Bills just traded Kiko Alonso for LeSean McCoy and I don't even know what to feel.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 My Bills just traded Kiko Alonso for LeSean McCoy and I don't even know what to feel. I don't know how to feel about this either. I feel like we're not gonna upgrade the o-line and McCoy's gonna get sacked in the backfield every play and this is gonna end awfully. But at the same time, Alonso or Bradham was gone, with Mario moving to OLB (I think??), so. PFF hates McCoy, lol.
Zaun of the Dead Verified Member Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 It's a pretty decent trade for both teams. chip is slowly building a roster comprised exclusively of oregon alumni
TRM Verified Member Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 The defence was fine without Kiko last year, and it's his second major knee surgery already. With that being said, he was a stud, and he was on a rookie contract, whereas LeSean is older (26) and is also a RB who has a 7M cap hit over the next three years. If the Bills can get Iupati and more help on the OL, the defence should be just as good as last year (plus Rex) and then I guess this improves the run game. I still am holding out for Bradford, or maybe Matt Moore or Jake Locker. I dunno. Bills need a QB. Ugh.
Zaun of the Dead Verified Member Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 they could probably get jay cutler
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 lol what's with the Bills and runningbacks 1. Use top 10 pick to draft CJ Spiller when you already have Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson 2. Trade Lynch for a fourth round pick 3. Trade stud 2nd year LB for McCoy and probably let CJ walk
