His release is fine and although he's dumb off the field, he's very smart on the field especially at the line of scrimmage.

This sums him up pretty well. Great prospect but still has a lot of work to do on the field and off the field.

Conclusion

Whenever scouts evaluate blue-chip prospects, they attempt to find a "good" and "bad" tape to watch to see a player at his highest and lowest points of his final season. The exercise is done to get a real sense of a player's strengths and weaknesses to determine their ultimate potential as pros. Watching Winston's season-long struggles with turnovers and mechanics, I believe he is a talented but flawed prospect who will need time to develop at the next level.

While he has the talent, confidence, football IQ and charismatic leadership skills to be a franchise quarterback, Winston has only 25 games of major college experience under his belt and hasn't had enough repetitions to master the nuances of the position. Thus, a team interested in taking Winston as a franchise quarterback needs to have a strong teacher in place in the quarterback room as well as a game plan to foster his development as a young quarterback.

Although he remains the top quarterback prospect in college football with valuable experience running a pro-style system, he is not a plug-and-play prospect who can step in and lead a team from Day 1. In time, I believe Winston will be a franchise player, but his 2014 struggles suggest a patient approach might be best for the team that selects him if he comes out following his sophomore season.

You know this is just setting yourself up for disappointment lol.

Even if they lose today I'll be very happy with how they've played against an amazing Green Bay team.

If Colin Kaeperdick gets traded, how much will he be traded for? Will be interesting to see. Really starting to get into the NFL.

His contract extension was pretty big so I don't think he will get traded. If you trade for a guy with a large signing bonus the cap penalty is so massive that it never really happens.

Buffalo really needs a QB though. Great defense will have gone to waste.

Kaepernick's been pretty trash this year. I would rather give up more for Cam Newton if he becomes available (probably not).

I would rather draft Jameis over either options though.

Will Jameis or Mariota even make it to them?

Oh s*** I didn't even notice the Bills had a winning record.

No, neither will make it to them most likely. I think there's a better chance Winston drops because of his off field issues though... and I like him way more than Mariota as a player.

Talk of RG3's trade value recently was like a 4th- 6th round pick from what GMs were saying..lol

Make RG3 their franchise QB... sounds like a bills thing to do.

Wow.. yeah I still don't think you can bury a rookie qb after 1 game but J. Football sure did look like total s***

Just now seeing the clips

Mariota is for sure top 5 Jameis could go anywhere from 2 to the bottom of the first round.

I think Winston is the next Jemarcus Russel. When he starts getting NFL money he won't be committed to being the best he can be.

Its like Manziel, not only does he not have the size for the QB position but the number one reason he won't be successful is because he doesn't care enough. As a NFL QB you have to be able to watch game film and make adjustments. Thats why Rodgers, Brady, Manning and Luck's are so successful more than anything.

The difference with JR was that he had guaranteed money you could never have to worry it anymore kinda thing..

But I agree even millions could be the end or JW..

But JM.. he will only fail on talent. Weeks like this will wake him up. If he doesn't play well on the field, his brand goes to s*** and he won't be the big shot at the club.. he'd be kind of a joke.. I think walking out on the field today he thought he was King s*** but give him a few more weeks like this and I think it'll be very different. That said, no guarantee he has the talent to be good QB even with the effort

Lol Winston is nothing like Russell. You can knock him for a lot of things but lazyness is not one of them, he's one of the hardest working players out there.

Perhaps comparing him to Russel was harsh. I still don't know what to make of him as a pro. The guy is just so dumb off the field it could cause issues on the field. Could you imagine Belichek finding out his QB got the cops called on him for shooting BB guns around the city?

In fairness, I think he was suggesting give the man millions of dollars and that might change. I concede I don't know as much about him as you seem to know though..

speaking of draft prospects here is a Canadian RB that should be drafted as at least a late round pick next year

Kid has some power.

Hes got legit 4.4 speed too. If he can stay healthy he can become a decent pro.

Interesting. It's really hard to gauge speed when dude is facing lesser opposition. Seems like he has a really quick initial burst and levels off after that.

Acceleration is one of the most important things for runningbacks in the NFL, way more so than speed after 20 yards. Also the guy carried the ball like 25 times a game so he could have been worn down.
