wardhenke1 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I had the discussion with Cooler Heads Prevail, "Romero last year is better than Johnson this year" Johnson is far better, it's not even close This might sound more convincing when he gets more than 3 outs.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 But we gave up so damn much to get em. We have to try and get some value for him. As much as that was a terrible trade....JJ offered some surplus value. Just bite the bullet and move on. What if he accepts the QO? Another year of this s***? Please don't say he might turn it around next year, because this was his year to perform. Health issues combined with just not being that good spells disaster in the AL East.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 painting burnett as a failure here is one of the most consistently ignorant narratives spewed by jays fans. lol
Jays Verified Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 lol Dickey "atleast I'm not as bad as this guy."
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 lol Dickey "atleast I'm not as bad as this guy." not many guys dickey can say that about
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 just curious how many starts of Johnson's you saw prior to him becoming a Jay? Plenty.
TheEndIsNigh Verified Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 something is wrong with JJ, and he consistently goes away to every right hander. IS this JP's fault? JJ used to throw 97, now he throws 93...and often is out over the plate. Amazing how bad he has been. Where is the guy saying he has just been unlucky? He has been terrible.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 JPA is such a sack of s*** But... but.... DINGERZZZ! CHARITY WORK! Clearly he's better than Buster Posey, amirite?

Can't a pitcher just regress? It happens.

He was not throwing 97 last year....but was alright in the 2nd half
TheEndIsNigh Verified Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 JJ falls apart as soon as he gives up a hit, this guy is a nut case and too mentally weak to pitch in a good division. GTFO.
TheEndIsNigh Verified Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Can't a pitcher just regress? It happens. You don't say....that is what I said, I just didn't think i would have to spell it out lol.
TheEndIsNigh Verified Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Reyes..good player, but damn take a pitch dude.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Anyone believe that Wilner could throw a 80 MPH fastball 25 years ago? That's nothing, I can throw 101, true story.
8D Verified Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 At least we all get to see Trout play. Pretty amazing when you think about it. A legit generational talent in his prime while I'm alive. Nice.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 3.61 xFIP and 6.31 ERA through 76 innings. This has to be one of the biggest discrepancies ever through 75 innings. 3 years @ 27 mil?. No chance?
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Comparing Johnson with Romero is an exercise in futility.
TheEndIsNigh Verified Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 JJ keeps going outside, hitters waiting for it.....are the Jays players this dumb?
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 JJ is throwing T-bones to hungry wolves
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 oh my god, this is just hilarious to watch
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I love Gibby, but if Melky plays another game in LF.....i'll rage
TheEndIsNigh Verified Member Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 LOL, Jays bad D rears it's head again.
