Peavy had shoulder issues a few years ago and has been durable around that. He's only under contract for one more year, maybe if it was longer I'd be worried about the injury reoccurring.

The Cubs got more and traded way less to do so, but Avisail Garcia could very well be better than any player that Chicago got for Garza (even if the total package was better).
