Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 LOL, I misread that as Colby Rasmus for a split second and was ready to rage. What?
Ziggyy108 Verified Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 AA pls do us right and sell everyone We could get a kings ransom for some of our players like ... Encarnacion Bautista Rasmus Reyes Davis Janssen Loup Delabar Cecil McGowan

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Trade deadline is in 2 days... Getting close to now or never. Well...a trade is very possible in August.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Encarnacion is way to unique to trade. His contract is fantastic as well. The rest I'd be fine with selling off. Realistically majority of those names won't even be discussed though. I'd move anyone for the right price, Edwin included. If the Pirates offered Polanco + Taillon + Hanson for Edwin it would be hard not to take it. If the Rangers offered Profar + Perez for Bautista AA would have to consider it. The goal should be put the organization in a better overall position, who cares what the names are if it's a good move.

Couldnt agree more + we would definately get some MLB ready top prospects. I would be so happy too see AA rebuld this s***.

I'd MUCH rather watch that than have to sit through any more of Bautista whining to umps, JPA talking s*** in the media while being below replacement level, and JJ and Dickey getting shelled.

imsorry4beatinU Verified Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 how realistic is trading for Dylan Bundy?
flafson Verified Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Top reviler being traded for pretty much nothing, no way we get anything for our pen. I know that Bautista whines alot but he does that because he cares and tries to do well. I'd much rather that than maybe someone who doesn't give 100% effort every time. Not sure if it counts or not but Cespedes by giving up on his fly ball, ended up at 1st instead at 2b when Trout lost the ball in the sun the other day.
flafson Verified Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 how realistic is trading for Dylan Bundy? He's hurt more than Morrow it seems.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 how realistic is trading for Dylan Bundy? Unrealistic
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 how realistic is trading for Dylan Bundy? inter division for a top prospect? GL with that

But, in reality, that won't happen with AA calling the shots.
imsorry4beatinU Verified Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 He's hurt more than Morrow it seems. He will be well suited with how we do around here. With the weighted ball program, we could do wonders with these top potential players with low value because of TJ Unrealistic inter division for a top prospect? GL with that Good to dream eh. If they are really desperate for starting pitching. Mark Buerhle and JA Happ? It's O's chance to make a run now and get two needed Veterans. Can AA be a ninja again?

Not that kind of ninja I really don't see any way BAL moves Bundy in the division unless Jose or Edwin are going the other way.

Yup, that's true. I want Bundy tho, we could easily buy low on him right now. How about a trade of Mark Buerhle plus a prospect for Howie Kendrick? Angels need a starting pitcher and with the market really bad for next years FA pitchers. Angels might want to have an inning eater and veteran presences with Buerhle.

imsorry4beatinU Verified Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Season is over, overstocked in relieve pitchers. We surely going to make a trade right?

DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Cano would not come here and I wouldn't want to commit 200 plus million on him either With Edwin, Jose and Reyes and a competitive offer he certainly might.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 With Edwin, Jose and Reyes and a competitive offer he certainly might. I just don't really get the appeal. Look at Pujols in LA right now. Who would want that type of albatross contract situation? It's the post PED era (well, maybe). Players get old, injuries take their toll like they naturally should. If a team signs Robinson Cano for 10 years and gets 4 really good years out of him, I'd consider them lucky.

He will definitely decline but, even at 35 I could see a 4-5 WAR season out of Robby. It obviously depends on the contract but, giving away Mark Buehrle and using that money in free agency has to be appealing even if Cano wouldn't be your target.

Yes, 100%. Bark Muehrle is a non-asset. Kind of sad that the Jays best current SP is literally a non-asset. Also kind of sad that AA is so inept that he needs to spend 18M per season just to see "league average SP" type returns.
