admin Site Manager Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Seven of 19 starts Dickey has given up six or more earned runs. Nine starts he's given up two or less runs.
JPArenshitia Verified Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Lets never trade again for a 'trick pitch' pitcher please....so up and down everytime, just as likely to pitch a shutout as they are to gas can. Cant we just stick to guys who are actually good pitchers with good pitches, and not based on luck?

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Dickey is by far the biggest disappointment this season. Goes from winning the CY Young in 2012 to being one of the worst pitchers in the AL east in 2013.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 I disagree...I think most people saw him falling off some Yeah, SOME. I expected him to regress, not crash and burn. He is basically Tim Wakefield now.

admin Site Manager Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 Two more years of this as well. Probably just end up releasing him. If he's worse next year, he can't be in the rotation, period.
admin Site Manager Posted July 6, 2013 Author Posted July 6, 2013 That's why I said at the break, let Stroman and Hutch pitch, stretch McGowan out. See if they can get a spot.

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 He's now lost games in which the opponent has sent out; Miguel Gonzalez Dylan Axelrod Mike Pelfrey Freddy Garcia To be fair, even if he gave up one run today he still would have lost to Cy Young candidate Mike Pelfrey.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 Meanwhile, Synderlaander was promoted to AA as a 20 year old and has been dominant through his first two starts (23K in 18 innings)!
