Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 1-Verlander 2-Rogers 3-Rasmus 4-Hunter 5-Bautista 6-Fielder
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I hope you're right and Verlander is the first one to go, let's hope it's in the first.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Re-sign Jon Rauch for one game Pump him full of testosterone Only get to work on sprinting from dugout to mound Fool proof plan

Chappy Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I say Bautista. He will get all riled up from a borderline strike call from the ump and then next pitch Verlander will hit him. Bautista will then start mouthing off and get tossed. He wont charge the mound however, cause Verlander would squash him and he knows it.
backontop Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Between Backontop vs. Goui-Douigi? Who do you mean? A much better question would be who will get the best punch, I'd have to go with Verlander because the guy makes his living with a fast arm, please don't hurt poor Colby, he is just a lowlife baseball player. Fielder is too fat to win a contest of this nature, Baustista is the dark horse here because he is dark and surprisingly tough and smart, BTW, may the good Lord take a liking to you all and learn you that hurting people is not a way of winning.
backontop Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Winning the brawl isn't gonna get us closer to being the best team in the MLB. So WHO CARES!!!!!!
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 What happened? I missed the game today.
admin Site Manager Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Check sportsnet.ca they have the highlights. With this thread I thought it was going to be a lot more
BabbaGanoush Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 What happened? I missed the game today. Colby had a very hard slide into second and injured Infante, and the Tigers got pissed, then Redmond plunked Hunter and the benches cleared.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 What happened? I missed the game today. Rasmus took out infante at second today and infante had to leave the game. 2 jays were hit, warnings were given after a pitch came close to tigers hitter
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Really? Colby always goes hard into second,so the Tigers got to figure nothing personal. Can't wait for the next game. Thanks guys..
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Rasmus took out infante at second today and infante had to leave the game. 2 jays were hit, warnings were given after a pitch came close to tigers hitter Uhh, Redmond hit Hunter, and if it wasn't for Fielder he would have charged the mound
backontop Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I didn't see the play, but Rasmus only did what any normal player would do if he was trying to disrupt a possible DP. I have noticed Rasmus is good at this, if poor Infante had to leave the game, he is just another baseball crybaby. You see if this was the NL and there was bad blood between the two teams, Mr. Verlander would be the guy to go on sick leave next, especially if he threw at any Jays hitters. Get rid of the stupid DH.
Auldphartt Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Colby always goes hard into second It was a brilliant slide, right on the basepath, unlike the dirty little slide that they used to take out Tony Fernandez years ago, which was 6 feet off the baseline. Karma's a bitch, aint it? Infante wasn't paying attention and Rasmus did his job. This is hardball, not a softball game like hopscotch, soccer, basketball or tiddly winks.

havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 (edited) Scherzer on Rasmus: “He should be suspended … We’re really mad about that slide.” Rasmus is probably going to get beaned. Might as well have a full out brawl tomorrow. Maybe Boni can actually be useful in some manner? Edited July 4, 2013 by havok24
admin Site Manager Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Suspended for what? It was right over the bag. The injury occurred because his leg was planted, kinda hyperextended it.
havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Suspended for what? It was right over the bag. The injury occurred because his leg was planted, kinda hyperextended it. Yup.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Suspended for what? It was right over the bag. The injury occurred because his leg was planted, kinda hyperextended it. I partially watched the Tigers stream and they agreed with it was a fair challenge. I guess the Tigers like making a fuss out of nothing
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 The Tigers broadcasters were saying that Infante had no business being on the bag the way he was and that he should never have tried to turn two on that play. They said that he should have got the out and got off the bag and that Rasmus made a clean slide.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013 The Rasmus discourse should be.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Rasmus is probably going to get beaned. Might as well have a full out brawl tomorrow. Maybe Boni can actually be useful in some manner? Shorter Scherzer: "WAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Auldphartt Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 The Rasmus discourse should be. Thanx for posting that. That was what I was referring to in my previous post. Fernandez was 6 feet from the bag when Madlock went out of his way to injure him. Infante was right on the bag.
JaysRap Verified Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Verlander will throw his second pitch high and tight to Reyes. Both benches will be warned and there won't be any ejections.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 Cleatus being awesome: “I’m going up there ready to hit,” Rasmus said [of the possibility of retailiation]. “If they hit me, that’s part of the game, too. Take it, put some ice on it, and go on about my business.”
