Frag Verified Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 It was just a cheap “Canada has about as many people as Rhode Island” joke ... Big game tomorrow. If Raps can go up 2-0, they may be able to withstand a hobbled Durant-led team when he’s back. Every game is a big game until they win.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 I knew Fred did a good job on Curry in game 1, but I didn't realize he was THIS good https://ca.nba.com/news/nba-finals-2019-fred-vanvleet-defence-stephen-curry-game-1-raptors-warriors/1xzfs9j3m7pvn1q60zpqvksubi Should we be throwing FVV into the starting 5? Who would sit? Green?
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 So big game tonight eh hosers.. Must win!! Seriously, must win at home. Must win!! Will be wearing depends...
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 If he were to start, yeah, Green. Happy Game 2 Day... GO RAPS GO!!!

We already kind of use Fred as the second pitcher of an opener since when he's playing we he'll start out on the bench and often close out the game later on when he's playing well. He's such a pest on defense despite his diminutive stature, just gets up all over you. I think initially it's fine to stay with Danny Green in the starting lineup, as you don't want Golden State to specifically target the height mismatch of Fred and Lowry vs. Curry and Thompson from the get-go.

My only thought on starting FVV would be to kind of prevent Curry from getting into a groove from opening tip. In game one, we started great but Curry kept knocking down shots to keep GS in it. Realistically, Durant-less GS only really has 2 scoring options. I'm not worried about anyone other than Thompson or Curry, for the most part.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Yeah, you're probably right. No need to change what's working until it doesn't anymore. Or maybe we should! I don't know! *shits pants*

Dude, does your sarcasm meter take Sundays off? This post and the one calling Grant a racist in the GDT is obvious sarcasm/trolling etc..

You should be moderately worried about Draymond Green, not that he's a scoring option per se but his playmaking and illegal screens really open up the other two threats for good looks. Obviously with him getting shitted on by Pascal Siakam last game he was less of a factor overall, but still had 10/10/10 last game, albeit with 6 turnovers and 5 fouls.

I meant as a scorer, I know Draymond is a good player. I'd be happy pushing him to take more shots.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Cousins starting for the Warriors, I actually think that's a good thing for us.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Nice to see Anunoby on the floor (although he won't play tonight apparently).
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Lol, Cousins is such a faker. I'm sure Gasol is thinking next time won't be a love tap.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Cousins looks god awful and he's resorting to flopping badly to save some face lol.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 I'm loving the pace and no whistles.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Need to put FVF in. FVV stop it, please.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Did I I just see Game 7 would be June 16. Jesus
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Did I I just see Game 7 would be June 16. Jesus Yeah, I know they have to travel across country, but it's really stupid to have more than one day in between games. They can rest all offseason.
