Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Thought they do have the whole 30-1 or whatever going with him out so idk It pretty much comes down to if Klay and Steph heat up at the same time it’s over. But if one or both don’t, they are just a very good team. But when Durant is there, it means both guards get more chances and space, so even if they aren’t shooting well they have more and better shot opportunities, as well as having a top 3 player on the floor. If Durant is back by say game 3, Warriors in 5 IMO.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 That’s just ridiculous gatekeeping. I’m not Canadian and live in England, am I not allowed to be a Blue Jays fan? I think that is perfectly fine, despite us being punished because of it. You also don't seem to hate the city of Toronto. It's honestly not something that bothers me and more of a fun observation as I'm living out West. You take me far too literally. For the record though a good Raptors team has had zero influence on participation numbers or competitive basketball outside of Ontario to this point. Will be interesting to see if they won the whole thing if that would change that.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 Marcus Stroman and BUCK MARTINEZ You forgot Sanchez.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2019 Posted May 26, 2019 IMO the Bucks had a better chance than the Raptors, but that's probably influenced by the Bucks beating the Warriors easily in Oakland in the only game I went to this season haha. The problem with the Bucks (just from eyeballing it during the playoffs) is they tend to gunk up the inside and have trouble defending the 3. As soon as we started hitting shots outside in our series, we won four in a row. I feel like GS would have absolutely shredded them from outside the arc. Who knows though, maybe GS wouldn't have been able to handle Giannis inside like we did.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 So Charles Barkley picked the Raps to upset GS. Either that’s the kiss of death since he said that about Houston and Portland (as well as having MIL win it all), or maybe it’s good bc he’s due to be right for a change
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Divas can cook but it's men who bbq I took the easy way and slow cooked them in the oven for a couple hours and the result was better than I expected

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 The trick is boiling the ribs before you put them in the oven. I read that method. May try that next time..tenderizes them I’m assuming?
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 I read that method. May try that next time..tenderizes them I’m assuming? Exactly, but more important when they're bone in. It helps the meat slide off the bone with ease.

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 Tell me how to cook boneless beef ribs and we’ll be cool. The trick is to undercook the onions. Everybody is going to get to know each other in the pot.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 How to cook ribs 1: remove membrane from back of rack using a paring knife. Loosen it at one end, grip tight, pull. Should come off in one piece. 2. Dry brine ribs. Liberally salt and wait a few hours. Contrary to popular belief, marinades or rubs don't penetrate deep into the meat, but salt does. 3. Use your preferred dry rub; for pork, use something brown sugar based. Liberally coat your meat. 4. Cook ribs in oven at 225 farenheit for 5 - 6 hours. Ribs are done when you pick them up and bounce them and a small break forms on the bark. If you want a faster cook time or don't like bark, wrap in aluminum foil halfway through. If cooking on a BBQ, cook with indirect heat and add smoke only at the beginning of the cook. I like applewood. 5. Brush on your favourite BBQ sauce and place over the flame, hot coals or under the broiler to caramelize the sauce. This happens pretty fast so take care not to burn them. Repeat with the desired number of coats but I find 2-3 is adequate.
baseballsss Verified Member Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 The Prairies should support the Bucks, BC...Golden State. East Coast Celtics. Also all their local CEBL and NBL teams. Honestly I've never understood why in this era geography makes your decisions for you. I know I hate the city of Philadelphia. I will not cheer for any Philly teams...ever (honestly Yankees or Red Sox over Phillies even...f*** I'd cheer for the O's over the Phillies). I am a Toronto guy who travels across Canada for jobs. I hear the s*** talking about Toronto and Ontario. Then I see the Raptors jerseys (albeit it is 80% Filipinos wearing them here in Swift and they probably don't hate Toronto). Like I said the Jays have marketed themselves as Canada's team. But the Raps never do outside of "We the North". I’ve been a Toronto Leafs, Raps and Jays fan since the early 2000’s, I live in Regina. To be fair though I’ve loved the city since I first visited there and would much rather be living there than this s*** hole haha. And yah most of my life growing up here, basketball and baseball were always “gay” but when both teams(raps and jays) got good, those same people that said that are all of a sudden huge fans.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 27, 2019 Posted May 27, 2019 How to cook ribs: 1. Place frozen ribs directly on a barbeque set to high. Coat in store-bought BBQ sauce while cooking. Cook for like 7 minutes per side, until black on the outside and not frozen anymore near the bone.
