Link for the second part?

Haven’t read that but did see NO was considering benching him the rest of year to ensure his health. So that raises the stakes a bit. I love LeBron but they did overstep here a bit if certain reports are true

Heard them mention it on the radio. Don't have a link.

Yeah. Wasn’t meaning to question you but read this morning they wiped him from their Twitter and team intros and articles were coming out that they were considering benching him so I doubted it

Looks like Porzingis, Hardaway Jr and Lee are on the way to the Mavs for Smith Jr, Jordan and Matthews.

Thought this had to be a troll

The Mavs are going to be fun to watch next year with Doncic and Porzingis!

Not sure of their cap space but Cuban is probably frothing at the mouth and they’ll be trying to sign whoever they can as a 3rd star

This trade restricts their space but they can probably sign one big free agent with some creative roster management.

Plus they should sign Ricky Rubio to become a fully European team!

LOL Knicks. The east/west imbalance gets even stronger. I really hope they get the #1 pick because they'll still be irrelevant even with Williamson.

Just remind yourselves every time the Yankees thrash the Jays this year that our city owns them in the winter months.

The Raptors have played like trash for 2 months. I have no confidence in them getting past Milwaukee in the playoffs right now.

Our three point shooting has been a mess for a while. We look like world killers when we're making a good percentage and an average team at best when we're not. There's been too many of these nights where we have a ton of open looks and go 1/10.

They melt under the spotlight.

I doubt they would get past the Pacers if they make it in.. They need cut bait with a bunch of them and get another stud.

Yup. That hot start is cloaking the fact that this team just isn't that good right now. Once Kawhi leaves this team is going to fall apart as quickly as the Jays did after 2016.

Meh, we're probably still a playoff team without Kawhi, just not an elite team.

Who wants to be a .500 team that scrapes into the playoffs, only to get destroyed by a powerhouse in the first round? That's like being stuck in pergatory. Either commit and go all in, or tear it down and rebuild it.

Wants to be, and reality are two different things.

For anyone who thinks the Raptors are going into tank mode if Leonard leaves isn't too familiar with the rosters from teams below the Pacers in the standings.

If the Raptors stand pat, lose Leonard and sign Green, I predict two zombie 45ish win seasons until all the contracts run their course then they make their run at the Greek and hope the young guys have matured into reasonable #2 and #3 options on a competitive team. That's not such a bad situation to be in. If you consider a first round exit purgatory well that is half the league right now and for at least the next 2-3 years. You can't have 25 teams in the NBA dumping players for picks and cap space and vying for a high draft pick.

There is value in not embarrassing your franchise. You'd rather be in the Knicks spot? If that was anywhere other than NYC, their plan of hoping to sign two big stars would have little chance of working.

First off, he’s Mr. MIL right now and at this point no way he’s leaving $50m+ on table to leave..sure stuff could happen in next 2 years but literally every team in NBA would be in on it, each with their own pitch. That’s nice he’s friends with the GM but that’s hardly ever what things come down to. But if you want to sip the ‘aid more power to you

I can see why people rag on you constantly on this forum.

It's kind of funny how people a month ago were calling the Raptors one of the best teams in the NBA, and now all of a sudden after a tough stretch, they won't even beat Indiana in a Best of 7 according to some posters. Such bandwagons!

The Raptors are still one of the Top 5 teams in the NBA even after this cold streak. They could add a good point shooter at the deadline and that would go a long way in helping them down the stretch and into the playoffs.

Even if the Raps lose Leonard after this season, Masai isn't just going to stand pat and do nothing. I'm sure the Raptors fill the void with a player who was better than DeRozan anyways. Even if the Raptors stand pat, they are still likely a middle of the pack team in the East.
