jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Just wondering, but why does Kawhi want so badly to go play second fiddle to an aging LeBron James who is currently on a worse team in a harder conference when he could be the star on easily the best team in the East? I heard it's living in LA.

Rumours are he doesn't want to play with lebron and would rather go to the clippers
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 Heard this on PTS as well.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 39-26 after the first. I don't think running and gunning is going to work against the Raps ... and Dallas was just running.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 Wow. What an embarrassing little bitch. If you believe the allegations. Toronto Sun, lol.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 If you believe the allegations. Toronto Sun, lol. I believe where there's smoke there's fire. Even if things didn't play out exactly that way, I'm confident that there is stupidity there.
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 God I think I've watched this four hundred times.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Giannis is out of the game tonight with a concussion so Kawhi Leonard has decided he doesn't need to bother playing either. Lol, it's going to be funny watching the rampant Kawhi apologism that goes down this season as long as the team continues to win and the fans hold onto delusions of him staying past this year. He seems like a prickly, selfish *******, but man can that dude ball.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 He missed over 70 games last year from an injury, no? I think resting him early in the season makes sense in that case. If he was actually still nursing injuries, and if it was the team's decision, sure. According to Rotoworld, Kawhi is calling his own rests unilaterally. He's basically acting like the Raptors have to suck his dick all season and take what they can get... which is true. --- Kawhi Leonard will rest on Monday vs. the Bucks. Welp. Coach Nick Nurse said on Sunday that there was "no plan" to sit Leonard, but Leonard's camp may be calling the shots here. This is the second game that Kawhi will miss and his fantasy owners are just hoping that this doesn't become a trend.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 It's Rotoworld dude, I don't think they know anything lol. They're playing a back-to-back tomorrow against another tough opponent in the 76ers, with Giannis out it makes sense to rest him and try to make him happy or whatever gives us the best chance at re-signing him in the offseason.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 it makes sense to rest him and try to make him happy or whatever gives us the best chance at re-signing him in the offseason. The Raps can S his D til they're blue in the face, he won't re-sign.

I'm sure many said the same thing about Paul George and OKC. The truth is we know nothing about Leonard or his inner circle, he's probably one of the most unpredictable personalities in the league. If you can even improve your chances at keeping a player of his caliber by 5% you do whatever you can as long as it doesn't crumble the franchise like what is happening with the Timberwolves.

Probably better having him start against Philly tomorrow night rather than a Bucks team without Giannis.

I don't know why he would want to go to lets say a s***** and old team like the Lakers and be second behind LeBron, playing in a far much tougher conference against teams like Golden State, Houston, Utah and Portland. In Toronto or in the East for that matter, it's a much easier path to the Finals that won't be as tolling.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 The Raps can S his D til they're blue in the face, he won't re-sign. DeRozan signed here long term; Lowry signed here long term. If he really likes it here and Toronto offers him a max contract and is in a position to contend for an NBA Title, there is a possibility. Not getting my hopes up though. Playing in Toronto is no different than playing in any other city in the US.
43211234 Verified Member Posted October 29, 2018 Posted October 29, 2018 Kawhi sat out the only other road game so far this season. And with the week between the last preseason game and start of the season he hasn't had to get on a plane for almost 3 weeks.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Raps having a garbage 1st half.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Raps having a garbage 1st half. Definitely subpar, but even so we're only down 4 (basically the JV misses). Neither team really looks that good atm.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Welp, some nights are just gonna be like this. They're hitting almost 50% from the 3 lol, and everything else is in the paint. Pretty effective when you're hitting the 3s.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Does Kawhi suffer from depression? He always looks like he's on the verge of tears.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Wish somebody would tell JV to f*** off with the 3’s.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Wish somebody would tell JV to f*** off with the 3’s. He's a good shooter. If they're gonna leave him THAT wide open, he may as well take it. I don't want to see him throwing up contested ones though.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Wish somebody would tell JV to f*** off with the 3’s. He hit 40.5% of 3's last year.
