Well, I liked watching the Raps until this dominant force came into the league: the Warriors

Correct me if I'm wrong but the whole point of playing is to win a championship, no? Sorry but if that's not the goal, then why bother playing?

Now we have no chance of winning a championship. NBA sucks because this Warriors team is unbeatable and will be a dynasty. Also, every other sport requires a "TEAM" rather than a few good players (Curry, Thompson, Green) to win it all.

And I get it TRM, you have a personal vendetta against me.

That's my rant for the night about the NBA.

TLDR: One super team in a league sucks. I hate pre-determined results.

I have a feeling his personal vendetta isn't against you, it's derived from your awful posts.

It was fun to watch but I don't see it as some incredible performance... Give Luis Scola 50 shots and he can probably get 45-50 points. Jazz also were pretty stupid for not double teaming him all 4th quarter. No one else touched the ball

This, Kobe had 50 shot attempts, the rest of his team had 45 lmao. Can't say I didn't see it coming though, it was obvious they were going to let him shoot all night.

6/21 on 3-point shots smh.

Omg such an awful post.

If all it takes is a few good players, then why didn't Lebron + Wade + Bosh set records like this Warriors team? Obviously there's going to be superstars on a good team, that's the way the game works. The Warriors are incredibly deep, their best player sat out for like half of all his team's 4th quarters. The Spurs, another incredible organization, were a few wins shy of reaching 70 Ws.

I just like having 4-6 teams that have a legit shot like most other sports. Having no competition is boring. The Spurs are the only team capable of knocking off the Warriors and, even then, it's a long shot. Having a pre-determined winner makes it boring, not to mention the NBA is rigged.

Like, how does one even hate the Warriors? They've pretty much signed zero superstars, and drafted, developed or otherwise run a system which has improved their entire game. Guys like Curry, Thompson, Draymond Green, Bogut, Iggy, Harrison Barnes, Shaun Livingston, etc.

Draymond Green was a second round pick FFS.

Because there's no defence played in today's game, league is rigged, Raps have no shot at winning.

Sports are about competition. There is none in the NBA.

Wow, Bruno played 35 minutes tonight and recorded 3 points on 1-9 shooting (1-7 from 3), 1 rebound, 1 assist, 3 TO and 1 steal and 1 block. I'm sorry but that's just awful, the kid sucks and is nowhere close.

At least Bebe was productive, Wright was great and Powell pretty much played like a superstar (against Brooklyn of course).

Powell is seriously impressive. He's shooting the 3 at an impressive rate since he became a starter, is excellent in transition and plays great defense. Great poise and character too, we've really got some impressive young talent with Powell, Wright, Bebe and Bruno (plus two picks this year, and two next year). What a great regular season for the Raptors

Powell can drive to the net too. Really seems like an absurdly well rounded asset for someone who came so cheap.

I didnt watch the game but apparently Bruno played solid D. Looked extremely nervous and stiff on offense though, opposite of how he's looked in the D league; comfortable and smooth.

I seriously love Wright's game, one of him and CoJo need to be dealt for an upgrade at the 4

This is such an incredibly stupid comment, even from you a poster who has proven to set the bar rather low for himself, that even though you already got called out on it, I can't resist adding onto the pile.

Even if the Warriors go 16-0, the Raptors still had an amazing year. 56 wins, seasonal records made this year. Three straight division titles. Two all-stars in their prime and several more players on the rise which bodes well for the next 2 or 3 seasons. Those are all worthy accomplishments.

And that completely discounts other people's comments where the Warriors are not a lock. Games still need to be played.

I think you still have to give him credit for hitting those shots. The guy has been terrible for 2 years, to get 60 points and even hold up after taking 50 FGA at 37 years old is a remarkable accomplishment. I know the refs helped push along the story by putting away the whistles but I think its still a great moment and one of the best performances given the situation.

This coming from a guy who does not like Kobe.

Raptors lost 115-110 at GS

Lost at home 112-109 to the Warriors.

They were hardly dominated. Plus the Raps have a winning record or split season again every other team with more than 50 wins this year and that was without Carroll for most of the year and before Powell's break out.

Bruno is likely terrible but if you look at the past 2 drafts it looks like a big success. 1 solid rotation player in Powell and a potential backup PG in Wright is a very good turnout when you are picking in the 20s. Draft is such a crapshoot even for teams that make "good picks" so to get a top 9 rotation player for league min. is really good.

Getting another top 10 pick in this draft is just a bonus.

To me what he's saying is only the teams that win a championship are considered to have been successful which I disagree with. If the Raptors make the ECF and take the Cavs to 6 or 7 games and ultimately lose I will be very happy and consider it a fantastic season.

Just like the Blue Jays last year, even if you don't win the WS you can have an amazing season without winning a title. I'd even argue 10 years from now more people will remember Bautista's game 5 HR than which team won the WS.

Let's not forget the Spurs, who are the most likely team to knock out the Warriors. I think everyone is excited for a potential Spurs-Warriors Western Conference Finals match-up.

For now MLB/NFL and even NHL >>> NBA

If it doesn't interest you then don't watch or comment about it. Especially that second one...on here.

Do you see me spending my time lamenting about the boring state of golf in threads?

Trouba up to his old tricks.

How? Oh because I realize we have zero chance at winning a title.

I think the NHL is pretty boring with all it's parity and low scoring games. I don't feel the need to randomly comment on it come playoff team when their fans are getting exciting..

Ya Powell is legit. I hyped him up 3 months ago saying he was like a poor mans DWade.

Very similar measurements, athletic freaks, good handle but it looks like Norm could become a way better outside shooter. Not saying he'll come anywhere close to Wade but they have similar gamestyles.
