dineke Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I guess I should have said it's developing and could be really good. He seems to understand his strengths, he has by far the most fga under 5 feet than in any other area, only takes 1.8 3PA per game which to me shows he understands when to take them (shooting 39% so he could throw up a lot more on the merit he is making them at an abv avg clip). Plays smart defense whether it be 1 on 1, rotating or knowing when to help off etc. Watching him in college, it didn't seem like he played dumb. He was just a bit passive and didn't have much of a handle.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Well that is exactly what I was asking if you read my post. Nobody can accurately judge a players basketball IQ 30 game into their career. Almost all rookies does things like "bad passes and stupid stuff like that". It doesn't mean they have bad IQ because they're still learning.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Listening to Tim and Sid and Eric Smith is on. Since he is a younger journalist I thought he would be pretty smart talking about the game but that is not the case. Calling guys like Brandon Jennings good and saying Amir offers no rim protection.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Anyways, Lowry is now 3rd in the east for guard votes. Keep the voting up. Voted 15 times today.. Just keep deleting your browsing history.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Just take 20 minutes out of your day and spam the s*** out of the vote to get him in there. Wade being a starter is a joke.

Lol wut? Are you unaware of how good Wade is this season? 23 ppg 6 apg 4 rpg. Higher efg% and identical ts% to Lowry. Pretty baseless claim to say him starting is a joke. I'd obviously rather have Lowry in there but Wade is a very good candidate too
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 http://www.tsn.ca/mlse-board-has-weighed-asking-outgoing-ceo-leiweke-to-stay-source-1.177981 Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment's efforts to find a replacement for chief executive Tim Leiweke have stalled in recent weeks, with some board members musing that the company should try to convince Leiweke to stay on board. The board has spent months interviewing possible replacements for Leiweke and has been collectively surprised that some qualified candidates haven't been interested in even interviewing for the job. MLSE is jointly owned by Bell Media, TSN's parent company, and telecom rival Rogers Communications. The perception that those companies are often at odds has made some sports executives contacted by MLSE wary. Leiweke said in August that he plans to leave MLSE by June 2015. He has since confirmed to Bloomberg News that he has talked with Live Nation Entertainment chairman Irving Azoff about starting a joint venture that could include assets that belong to Madison Square Garden Co. Leiweke joined MLSE in 2013 after working for 13 years for the Anschutz Entertainment Group, which owns the Los Angeles Lakers and Kings. After a rough start, when he drew criticism for a plan to remove photos of Leafs legends from the hallways of the Air Canada Centre, Leiweke won praise for his hiring of Raptors GM Masai Ujiri, and for navigating local politics to get a new $30-million practice facility built for the Raptors. Leiweke and MLSE part-owner Larry Tanenbaum have a fractious relationship and unless Tanenbaum sells his minority stake in Canada's highest profile company - a development that probably won't happen - Leiweke is unlikely to change his mind about leaving.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Too bad the Raps weren't playing a better opponent tonight. Small chance it could of been flexed to the TNT game. National Broadcasts for tonight are garbage. Houston-NY and Mia-POR
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Charlotte Toronto games always seem to be good. I
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Really don't like seeing Landry Fields in the starting lineup.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Random note-Team seems to have all gotten haircuts since they got back to Toronto.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Defense still looks bad.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Ross still doesn't care on defense. Good stuff
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Ross still doesn't care on defense. Good stuff He just isn't good. I don't think I've seen a player take worse angles when someone sets a screen.

That was him guarding MKG as well when he slipped in for a wide open lay up. You might have missed it because Ross was still at the three point line scratching his ass

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Raps shot selection has not been good. Lowry is usally good but thats a couple early shot clock long 2s now.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Lol Pshycho T with the rainbow 3.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Those 30 seconds sum up JJ perfectly.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 f***in SN production is complete garbage. Can't count how many missed FTs/plays we have missed because they are showing something else at the time.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Anyone else think nba stadium announcers are f***ing annoying?
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 ANd why do they play music even during play? It's like they're marketing for 5 year olds.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 You can tell the Raps didn't pay attention to offence over the last few days. Starting group looks really off/stationary.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Lol JJ with the throw it behind your head prayer while coming down with the board.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Such a nice pass by Lowry to Patterson on that 3. He has some really nice unorthodox passes I've noticed.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Basically, Lowry is the best and Vasquez is the worst.
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Raps getting the home whistle tonight
