Garbage time is obviously the worst time to judge a player, but Nogueria doesn't look all that lost on the court. Maybe with some development he'll become a decent second big off the bench.

He did well in the the best basketball league outside of the NBA last year. He was way further along than Bruno but apparently Casey can't even develop him to be a better option than the likes of Chuck hayes.

Missed the game, how bad was it? Defense seems like it was non existent judging by the score. I though coming in it could be a trap game. Team was due for a stinker I guess.

Doubt it. They lost 3 games in a row on a West Coast Trip. With the easy schedule coming up they will be back to their winning ways and the hype will be high again.

 

That being said the defense has been really bad. Interesting to see if it improves when Demar comes back as the numbers were a lot better when he was playing even though I think many would agree he is not a good 1on1 defender. Big issue for the team is perimeter defense as Ross, Lou, GV and even Lowry have allowed a ton of blow by drives. I think Lowry having to carry the offence has taken a toll especially defensively as he's trying to save energy and thats why he switches to guard 2s and 3s.

Doesn't really matter now that Demar is back. Landry will go back to riding pine and JJ will get his 17-20 min per night.
