Demar was getting destroyed by Harris tonight. He simply can't guard big 3's. He still contributed with some huge free throws and nice passes late though. He can keep defenses honest with his drives.

If the Raps want to trade for a player later on in the season they have a ton of assets. 2 First round picks next year, 1st round this year, Bebe, Bruno...

If we're going to be competitive in the playoffs we clearly need some help at the 4/5. Jonas has been so hot/cold this year so far and Amir is visibly slower.

 

The guard play is so elite... It would be a shame to miss out on a deep playoff run because of one up front.

You know who would look really good on this team? Al Hortford. He's signed through next year as well so I doubt Atlanta moves him unless they get a haul but that's the type of big we need to put us over the hump.

If this whole push for KD thing doesn't work out, Horford would be my #1 target. I love his game and he would be a perfect fit, could even push Amir to a bench role (who knows how it will work out with Amir's new contract). That would be ideal

Yeah I agree. But i think JV has shown improvement defensively especially in boxing out and not committing stupid fouls. I could see him playing close to 40 minutes in the playoffs if he becomes more mentally tough and doesn't check himself out of the game after one missed shot.

I think he is the one target that actually makes this team a contender. I don't think Atlanta would move him this season though unless we included Ross and even then they still might not want to trade him.

 

Sidenote: Casey coached a hell of a game last night. The guy get criticized a lot by fans some of it warranted but way too much regardless. JV clearly was having an off night as well as Amir on the Defensive end so he went small with Ppat at the 5 and JJ at the 4 which was one of the biggest reasons the Raptors won.
