eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Solid win though. Defense looked great at points. Rebounding is still an issue whenever JV isn't on the floor. Demar needs to cool it with the chucking. If it isn't going down... share the ball or attack the basket. Long 2's are disgusting. 6 guys in double figures. Hawks are a pretty decent team. Nice test. Now go blow Orlando out of the water please.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 This should be a very entertaining season for Raptor fans. I like the overall mix on this roster and the depth on the bench. This team should be able to put up a tough matchup against most of the top teams and go on a few good runs.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Fun game, middle part of the game wasn't that loud ( though that was to be expected), it really picked up the last 3 minutes though. I thought they played well for the first game minus the leaving Kyle Korver open part
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Just realized the Hawks hit 13-22 of Threes which is what kept them in the game. I knew they were hot but thats a ridiculous rate
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Lakers are crap. Didn't someone have them over 30 wins?
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Yea I did. Bad basketball teams usually win around 25-30 games a year it seems, but they have Kobe who will score enough to win a few more. They did win 27 last year without him

They did win 27 last year without him Lost Randle for the year (This was after your prediction). Their coach being terrible will cost them a few games too. Any team that says they want to shoot less 3s is going to be bad. In that conference I honestly see a case where they finish bottom 2.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 With Westbrook out now... The Raps schedule looks extremely favourable early on. Orlando Miami OKC Boston Washington Philly Orlando No reason at all why we couldn't win 6/7... Only Miami and Washington are threats.

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 It's still early enough in the season that they will probably lose at least 1 out of those 5 easy games and more than likely will split the 2 between Washington and Miami. Miami will be on a back to back as well though

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 With the new TV deal this contract will look cheap in a few years.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Rubio signed 4 years for 56 million....
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Cavs look horrible. Likely going to start 0-2 here.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Hinrich! f*** yeah!
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 There were serious questions being asked before this season if Lebron/Love/Irving could play together.... So far it's been a disaster. Obviously it's early but they have a ton of work to do.

Twenty two of their next twenty three and no one talked about it again until the Mavs series.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 JV has been solid from the post, Hakeem taught him well.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Oh my, DeMar just cruised past Fournier, I hope he keeps taking advantage of the mismatch.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Stop taking those awful fadeaway deep 2's DD.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Jonas is a good finisher in traffic and can score once in a while when the ball has moved from side to side, but they should stop just dumping the ball into him straight up, he isn't a force 1 on 1
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 JV needs to start taking that shot. They aren't biting on any fakes, even a little. They're giving it to him for free, and he can hit them from there.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 There you go! Stop taking those lame long 2's!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Knocked away again. Vucevic is too strong for him, they should run some screens.
