I'd imagine that if Wiggins goes to Minnesota he'll be more likely to eventually sign with Toronto as a free agent.

 

Not sure how I think about it overall though.

For overall development, being one of Lebron's wingmen would be best for Wiggins. He isn't the alpha dog type who is going to demand certain amount of shots per game. Much better fit beside someone who is already dominant and he can develop at his own pace

I agree with Bennett looking really good in the summer league so far. He looks like a totally different player. Maybe he was legit hurt last year.

Bennett had a shoulder injury last year I believe. Hopefully he can turn his career around and go from a historically bad player to just a bad player.

He hit at a 37% rate in college and rebounded very well. He's much more mobile now and very athletic. I'm willing to give him a year's grace because of his injury and subsequent condition.

37% isn't really that good in college. He had a historically bad rookie season and he didn't impress very much when I watched him in summer league last week. I honestly don't think he will amount to anything more than bench fodder.

It's okay in college, I'm not claiming he'll be Kyle Korver at the 4. Again, I'm willing to give him a bit more time to evaluate based on the injury. Maybe you aren't. I thought he looked pretty good last week. We'll see.

Wouldn't it be funny if Lebron left after one season, especially if the Cavs end up mortgaging the future. I suppose its worth it if they win the title, but this is Cleveland we're talking about.

Have you really watched any of the summer league? Bennett looks fantastic. Not sure what games you were watching. He looks like a different person compared to last year. Healthy, quick, knocking down perimeter shots.... A few explosive dunks...

 

On another note, did anyone watch the Raps last game? Bebe with some nice passing and Bruno looks athletic as f***. We might've gotten a steal in this draft. Double figures in scoring in all five summer league games. Pretty impressive for a raw talent playing against a bunch of guys 2-3 years older than him.

Lol Bennett has been nothing special in summer league, don't let a few dunks fool you. 53 points on 47 shots for the entire tournament, 25% from 3. His offense is mostly chucking long 2s, on defense he's not strong enough to guard the 4 and not quick enough to guard the 3.

 

Career bench player if lucky.
