Can't find where else to put this.

Adam Sandler is shooting a movie in Toronto right now. My exam had just finished and I was celebrating with a little bit of ball. Well, not 40 minutes after I get there, I'm ushered off the court in favor of people who appear to be Adam Sandler and Jonathan Loughran. They begin playing, and I totally didn't sneak a picture or anything nope not even two, and I'm just kind of playing on the other side of the gym, and then a guy I know gets there.

Sandler and Loughran finish up their game, and to the chagrin of the staff, challenge me and my friend to a game of 2 on 2. Not fully comprehending what was happening, I accepted. We went up 4-0 after I crossed Sandler over and hit a couple jumpers. Then they came back to beat us 11-8. We played another game and Sandler just took over, and we lost 15-2. Sandler and Loughran are great at basketball and even nicer. It was awesome. They were extremely classy and hilarious and great pickup players.

jeremym480 and 13 like this.

I played with Sandler on Monday night at Bay/Davenport (Jesse Ketchum?)

Nice guy. He's staying at the Four Seasons in Yorkville.

Lool you played at Jesse Ketchum? I know guys who went there.

Loughran was super nice too. Sandler plays physical, lol.

Office is at Yonge/Bloor. We have a work 3-on-3 league there Mon-Weds.

He's a super nice guy. He was there before we got there and actually volunteered to leave when we showed up.

Someone hit a jumper over him and said "That one was for me having to sit through Jack and Jill". Sandler laughed it off. Timing was perfect.

Apparently Embiid's physical with the Cavs went really, really badly and he is not going to be taken #1.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him drop out of the top 5. Too many red flags.

Greatest coach and organization (I tend not to give Buford full credit as I think Popovich deep down is still GM too...at a minimum they are an amazing team) in basketball history. Not a top 25 pick since Timmy, no major FA signings, no block buster trades. Just amazing.

Embiid may have broken his right foot and that's on top of already having back concerns

This guy should be a fringe top 10 pick.

He's barely played basketball for 3-4 years and is a massive injury risk.

I wouldn't touch him with a top 3 pick.

The Suns should try and find a way to nab him cause their medical staff practices the dark arts and all

Embiid has a stress fracture. He's toast. I wouldn't even draft him 5-10 at this rate.

Guy has a bad body at like age 19-20... It's only going to get worse.

Tough break, he looked like the best big man prospect since Howard.

On that note though, it's the same bone MJ had broken

Those back issues are a massive red flag. The upside is insane but he's going to be playing with men (not boys ala the NCAA). Imagine him trying to guard DeAndre Jordan with a bad back? lol

Awful example, DeAndre's whole offensive game relies on athletic dunks and alley-oops. I would have gone with Demarcus Cousins if you were referring to an offensively dominant center.

If DeAndre's game is above the rim, then he wouldn't be able to guard that either, most likely. It's very difficult to jump with one working foot and no back.

I understood his point, but I'm just stating that while Jordan has crazy athleticism he isn't a force on offense, and so I provided another example of a center that would take better advantage of Embiid's diminished defending skills due to a potential injury. It's not like the former just takes over on offense when the defense isn't good.

Greg Oden and Anthony Davis were better prospects quite easily.

Calm down please. I was referring to his massive size and brute strength. A kid with a bad back could not handle that pressure.

Ya the bad back is worrisome absolutely.

IMO someone is going to get a ridiculous steal if he goes outside the top 5.

I think PHI will take Embiid, they obviously aren't going to compete in the next couple years so they can bring Embiid along slowly if necessary. Similar to what they did with Noel. Only question is if they think Embiid and Noel can play together (I think so).

I dunno man. That's a team that just went through a few years of running out an oft-injured Elton Brand and they also had that entire year of paying Andrew Bynum to do nothing. Nerlens Noel as well. I think they'll be a little scared of his medical history (assuming they learned from their mistakes).

Wouldn't be surprised to see them take Exum and play him at the 2.

A lot of the mocks have Julius Randle falling as far as 7 now. I wasn't overly impressed with him to be honest but still a hell of a talent to get at 7.

Draft express also has Nik Stauskas going at 9 WTF. Don't like that pick at all.

That whole comment doesn't make any sense to me.

They traded FOR Noel, despite him being out for the season with an ACL tear. It's also a completely different regime from the time when Brand played in Philly.

Exum would be a fine pick but Embiid's upside is on another planet.
