I want to see Oladipo/Exum on the Magic. Great complimentary backcourt.

That would be fun. I've heard they really like him, pretty obvious he's the 4th best player in this draft and Orlando has been shopping Afflalo. Just makes too much sense

That whole comment doesn't make any sense to me.

They traded FOR Noel, despite him being out for the season with an ACL tear. It's also a completely different regime from the time when Brand played in Philly.

Exum would be a fine pick but Embiid's upside is on another planet.

My point is that they took some chances on high risk players and haven't gotten anything in return. Noel is likely a bust.

I would think that they learned their lesson.

Lol. Likely a bust?

You haven't seen him play one minute at the NBA level, so I'm curious how you might know that. Getting sneak peaks at their practices?

Even sneak peeks at the practices have shown Noel moving very well. I think he's going to be extremely successful.

Torn ACL and doesn't seem like the highest character guy. That's a terrible, terrible injury.

Derrick Rose is also supposedly looking fantastic in practices prepping for team USA.

Practice after a period of extended rest and the grind of an NBA season are not the same things. I will eat my hat if Rose plays more than 30 games this year.

ACL injuries are like the kiss of death for basketball players.

Those are two very different situations ECJF haha

I dunno about Rose but I think Noel will be successful.

I can't recall a recent ACL injury to an NBAer that killed his career. Not like it's an injury that happens with any frequency to NBA players

Just off the top of my head, I believe Brandon Roy, Greg Oden, Derrick Rose, Gallinari.

I might be wrong but I think Rondo had one and he's declined big time (although he's playing on a much shittier team).

It will be interesting to see what happens to Noel but it's a very, very gruesome injury.

Just as many guys have come back from it (also pretty early to tell on Rose or Gallo).

On to s*** that actually matters, there are so many options for the Raps in this draft. First time I have been excited for a Raptors drafted in a few years

In retrospect, what a shame that Brandon Roy had to retire. That guy could've been a f***ing superstar on Rose's level.

2008 he shot 48% averaging 23PPG with 24 PER

Shame.

Derek Rose 2012?.. I guess you cant say it killed his career but it sure seems that way. It's such an athlete's sport with the needed bursts and jumping obviously... there's already such a thin line when you're at an elite level. Think it was downfall of Grant Hill (he had ankle too), PEnny Hardaway.. sure there's others.

Ya, he was awesome.

It was known he had f***ed knees going into the draft, it's why he fell down to 5 (i think it was 5). Still would have easily taken him over Bargs

Yes but if you have to back a decade to find a handful, I don't think it's that big of an issue.

Injuries take their toll in every sport, I am just saying it's not something that will completely limit the guy. Especially considering he's only 20 years old.

Also, Rose did it twice.

It's not that common, though it seems to be occurring more nowadays then when I really followed the game closely 10 years ago. Anyways, I don't think its a "kiss of death" by any means... but it's an injury that should cause concern.

Rumors of Derrick Favors + the 5th pick from the Jazz to the Cavs for #1 in order to take Parker (makes perfect sense with him being a Mormon).

Favors looks to be a future star but they already have TT and Bennett. Interesting proposition.

It would be just like the Cavs to trade this pick and have Parker be the superstar talent they haven't been able to draft with their high picks lately.

sort of rooting for this to happen just for the lols

Lol Cavs gonna Cavs.

When they have good players at every position but need a SF and the best two prospects are SFs, let's trade down!

It's still fresh in my mind from when LeBron made his "Decision" to go to MIA and the Cavs owner blew a gasket...lol... Guaranteed a title before LeBron got one amongst other things he said. Despite all the front-end picks since, including KI, they still suck. Of course, hard to blame him for losing his cool on the LeBron thing, not only the winning but he literally probably lost hundreds of millions in franchise value in a single swoop. There's really no comp for that in any American major team sport. Also, when you reflect on those Cavs teams that had the best record in the NBA and went to the finals, you understand just how good LJ is.

Embiid out 4-6 months

Abort, abort.

Would not draft this guy with a top 3 pick. Maybe not even top 5.

Ya, top 2 for sure should go Wiggins and Parker. After that, maybe Exum over Embiid. Once you get to 4 though, it's hard to see Orlando passing on him for much lesser prospects.

Embiid is top-5 talent no matter what

Wow, first the eye, which might have prevented him from being a lottery talent and now this ending his career, very sad.
