That just sucks, you really have to feel for him. Hopefully he can reach the nba one day as a coach if he decides to go that route.

Adam Silver continues to do the right things publicly and he invites Austin as his personal guest for the draft. I hope Baylor honours his scholarship and lets him finish his schooling (assuming that's what he wants and is able to do)

If Wade opts out too and redoes.his deal maybe they can afford to bring in another star player. They need to to stand a reasonable chance of beating the powers in the West. I think that's plan A. May or may not work though.

 

Who would they go after? Melo?

I have to admit I've started cheering for Miami after Lebron's first year there. But this will stop if they bring in Carmelo Anthony I assure you.

If you were Wade, would you opt out? That's a lot of cake sittin' right there.

 

He is painful to watch now, Miami could say we'll get you that $40 million over 4 years but that's still an albatross contract

Wade has to pick between making 20M per season for two years (holy f*** he's not worth that) and losing in the NBA finals every year OR reducing his AAV and having a chance of winning another championship or two.

Wade is clearly almost done (stats show that he had an oustanding year but the body is clearly wearing down) and Bosh is just an above average player now.

and they are still near max contracts which is stupid. Does Miami let them all walk and do it all over again next year with Durant, Aldridge and Rondo

There is nothing I want more than for Melo to join Lebron and not win a championship. I want Melo to go his entire career without another playoff game if possible. There is no one in sports I dislike more. I'd hold a lambchop up to AA's mouth before being in the same room as Melo

My favorite was his reaction the his 62 point record setting game this season.. Guy clearly cares much more about himself than his team.

If they go to the Cavs then it's hard to envision Kyrie + Lebron + Melo + Waiters + Bennett + Thompson + the #1 overall pick or whoever they get for trading it not winning a championship

 

But it is Cleveland afterall

When did everyone decide that a collection of good basketball players has to be the Big #? It's a strange convention IMO.

The Cavs are getting some pretty big and solid deals for that number one pick.

 

There's still no way in hell they should pass on Wiggins, but Orlando offered the 4th, 12th and Affalo for it.

Apparently, though if they did take it, I could see them taking Exum and trying to move Irving for a good wing player.

 

The Irving/Waiters back court is just one giant disaster. After watching Mean Girls last night, I kind of want to call them frenemies
