That 4th quarter was pretty ridiculous. You'd have to think the Raptors will improve their shooting after getting the first game out of the way.

Raps will play better for sure. It's just disappointing because as bad as they were, they had a chance to win that game. Derozan was terrible. Make a couple shots and we win that game.

The nets played bad too, and we still lost.

I forgot about Ross. He was in foul trouble from the start too. He would have made a huge difference.

We played much worse. I think we're better than the Nets and we've still got a great shot to win the series

Two weak calls took him out of the game entirely. This team is so much better with him playing well

Was it loud on tv? It was f***ing deafening in there

 

During our runs it was crazy loud and at the beginning of the game too. I'm sure it was much crazier in person but you could tell the crowds inside and out were really good.

Sucks that I missed this one. Looking at the boxscore DeMar laid a massive egg, terrible shooting performance, and holy s*** Valanciunas?? 18 rebounds? Talk about stepping up when it counts! I see from the comments that the refereeing wasn't fair, was it due to phantom calls or one sided?

 

What did you guys think? Were we overmatched? Or was it just a bad game?

The Nets didn't have a foul in teh 4th. All you need to know about the officiating.

 

Pierce stuck some massive shots down the stretch. You can't put a value on experience. Our young guys looked shell shocked out there today. Ross got in early foul trouble and wasn't effective at all. DeRozan was beyond terrible. Like I can't even express to you how bad DeRozan played.

 

Only guys who showed up were Lowry, Vasquez, and JV.

Inside the Longo's at Maple Leaf Square. They have fantastic beers and great food, all for a tremendous value. I'm a regular there mate.

Cant even put into words how insane the atmosphere was. Im exhausted.

 

DeRozan was terrible and there a ton of questionable calls.

 

Did you go bunny hopping after the game haha?

I hear you man, Pierce is a beast in the clutch, it may not exist in baseball but there's no way you can't say a guy like that steps up his game when it counts. I'm still shocked that Jonas managed to grab 18 boards, if he was clearly dominating why didn't we go to him more often?

 

But it's all good, we got those first game jitters out of the way, and hopefully the young guns put this one behind them and carry on strong.

Casey went away from JV for wayyy too much of the 2nd quarter. Super frustrating. He`s still managing like it`s a regular season game.

 

We have 2 days off before Tuesday. JV should`ve been playing 40+ minutes easily.

 

It`s going to be a long series. There is no way we should shoot as badly as we did again. You could see how nervous they were in the first Q.

It`s the playoffs. Time to man up. He was effective whenever he was on the court.

 

This game shows what JV is really made of though. He stepped up huge today. Very promising for the future.

I'm very excited to see him step up and have a huge game. He seemed like the only player on our team that was under control and not effected by the pressure. I didn't expect him to handle it so well, but of course I didn't expect DD to have his worst game of the season either.

JV's stats look nice, but he missed a few easy shots, turned it over 6 times, and his help defense was pretty bad. All in all, pretty good for his first playoff game but I think he can be better.

Yea with 3 days off, not playing heavy minutes all year long, only being what 22? There's no reason any one of them should have been exhausted unless they played over 40. It's the playoffs, the adrenline should keep you going

That Pierce travel no-call was a huge play. Put them up 6 and if it was called, could have swung the momentum to us
