John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Casey showing he has no faith in JV, he should really be in there right now. Dammit DeRo... Gotta finish that for the 3 point play
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 And now the time out spree starts.... Last minute gonna take another 20 to play
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 If we play Brooklyn in the playoffs, I think we beat them because they'll wear down over a full 7 game series... Too old.... But they're still dangerous. Key against BKN is to get them running. Set an incredibly high tempo. They wouldn't be able to keep up with Lowry's engine over 7 games.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Win or lose... what a great game. Got a good feeling about this. This team knows how to dig deep.
43211234 Verified Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Derozan had better not be near this final shot.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Ah Ross..... Not sure why DeRozan didn't just go up strong instead of kicking it back out... But at least it wasn't him that dribbled it off his foot this time.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Literally everything went wrong on the last 2 possessions...
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Whatever. We won 8/10 coming into this game and were on the 2nd game of a back to back. Not the end of the world. They'll destroy Detroit on Wednesday.
43211234 Verified Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Could have pretty much sealed the division and home court for the playoffs with win there.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Could have pretty much sealed the division and home court for the playoffs with win there. Not too worried. They showed some great fight to come back.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Only thing that really bothered me in that game was Lowry taking a pull up 3 from 30 feet over a 7 footer when we were only down 3 with 15+ seconds left
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 Could have pretty much sealed the division and home court for the playoffs with win there. It's still a 3 game lead with only 20 games left, they still have the tiebreaker as well.

SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Most likely, would have preferred him taking off the bounce which would have led to a layup or an easy pass to whoevers man helped over
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Anybody else find it comical/sad that the Raptors would be in 10th place and out of the playoffs in the west? Poor Phoenix is 36-27 and may miss the playoffs.

The amount of teams blatantly tanking in the East is a joke
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 NBA needs to a better job in combating tanking. Yes, they do. Teams should not get rewarded for intentionally losing like so many are right now.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Yes, they do. Teams should not get rewarded for intentionally losing like so many are right now. This is one of the reasons I lost interest a long time ago, now I just watch occasionally. Intentionally s*** teams get rewarded with potentially franchise altering picks and undeserving teams make the playoffs over superior teams.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Good first quarter for the Raps, did a decent job holding the Pistons' bigs down low, let's be honest here, they are clearly stronger in that aspect so it was nice to see them forcing a lot of jumpers and the few shots in the post were a bit awkward.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Awful, 9 straight missed, gotta take someone out, preferably John Salmons given that Lowry can't play all 48 mins.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Casey goes absolutely f***ing FULL RETARD Extended minutes with Hayes, Salmons, Vasquez, and Hasborough on the floor AT THE SAME TIME. WTF is wrong with this guy. Play the scrubs in garbage time. You don't play them at the start of the f***ing 2nd quarter.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Like I get that you're trying to spread the minutes around because the playoffs are coming. But there was literally no offense on the floor aside from DD. Pathetic coaching. If you want to play these guys rotate them in. Don't put them all in at once!

At the very least he could have left them in for a few minutes and when it started getting close change up the unit; instead puts Novak in there. I've only seen stats so far until this year but actually watching it you realize how bad the turnovers Vazquez makes are.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Val nailed to the bench AGAIN. Another <20 MPG for JV again tonight? Inexplicable.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I was coming to post that exact same thing. Val sits for the first 10.5 minutes of the 2nd? Casey needs to get his subs together before the playoffs
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Like why is Terrance Ross not playing 35 minutes a night? You cannot explain it. Kid has taken a star turn but he still struggles to get extended minutes.
