SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I've wanted Stauskas on the Raptors for years, lol. E: Holy f*** has his handle improved, that's silky. And he's got some really nice court vision. 3 point shooter who can create his own shot and pass from Canada? Ujiri pls. Who does everyone want the Raptors to take assuming they keep their late first? Mine is probably Hood/LaVine if they slip, Ennis, Stauskas, McDermott, Robinson III, Anderson. For whatever it's worth, nbadraft.net has Aaron Gordon going #21. If we got Lavine in the 20s...I would cream immediately. Shades of Russell Westbrook. Either of the Canadian boys would be great too (not because they are Canadian but they legitimately fill a need for the team while most likely being BPA if they are still there)
letsgobjs Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Lol, that's ridiculous. The draft is all about projecting what they'll be down the road. Adam Morrison destroyed college, I guess he was the next Larry Bird right? I don't think it's out of the question to think that Parker and Embiid could be drafted ahead of him. Obviously it's about projecting a player, but I'm sure some GMs think he won't become as good a player as Parker.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Possibly but I think Parker is pretty close to what he will end up being. Wiggins ceiling is much higher IMO. If a team is looking for a player who is more NBA ready, you are right, they could take Jabari. However, if my team is picking in the top 5, I am looking for the highest ceiling rather than most NBA ready.

But I think many want a quick impact player and are probably swayed by the point totals.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Embiid > Wiggins > Parker I heard Dante Exum is a very good prospect but I haven't seen him play.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Embiid > Wiggins > Parker I heard Dante Exum is a very good prospect but I haven't seen him play. f*** no. 1-Jabari 2-Wiggins (Hight ceiling) 3-Randle 4-Embiit 5-Smart 6-Exum 7-Vonleh
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Embiid is considering staying in school for another year (would be ridiculous, take the money when you can young man). Excited for the game tonight. Gay will be extra motivated, and I think it'll be a shootout early on, but our depth will win out in the 4th.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Embiid Wiggins Parker Randle Exum Smart and so on

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 And my Rogers box decides to f***ing crap out on me tonight. Wonderful.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Pull the power cord, from the back of the box, wait 30 seconds, put it back in and let it recycle, than voila, you'll be good to go. Did that several times now.... How long does it take? It's been doing that little looping green dot thing for the last 30-40 minutes. Very irritating.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Call Rogers, to reset you're box, it shouldn't take no more than 5 minutes, they'll hook you up. Already did that. Lady was completely useless. Said the earliest someone could come to my place to take a look is Monday. lol Just terrible service.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Embiid Wiggins Parker Randle Exum Smart and so on That's pretty much my top 6, although I don't love Smart and I think you'll see Lavine in the conversation as well as Ennis before the end of the year.

I feel like those two slip, but that might be wishful thinking, cause I like both.
theblujay Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 f***ing west coast trips. Sleep vs. BBalll
theblujay Verified Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I hope someone drafts Aaron Craft in the second round. It's a joy to watch him play defense with his all hustle, all out, all the time mentality. Draft as a defense first backup pg and tell him not to shoot
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Sleep vs. BBalll My two favorite things well f***

GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Um... sex? Or are you really 12? for someone who is repeatedly reminded of his teenagerness on this board it's really quite a mystery that people don't remember my age
Chappy Community Moderator Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 The game will be over by 12 30..are you both 12 years old Or anybody with a day job.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Or anybody with a day job. I know he's in high school so I doubt he's sleeping more than 7 hours anyways. Middle aged men is a different case
GD Old-Timey Member Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 .......and always wrap it up. Good 'ol Spank
