JV playing like a two year old out there. Getting destroyed down low. You're 7 feet tall bro. Grab a f***ing rebound.

DeRozan chucking up bricks.

Not their night tonight. Blowout.

Really? Run the exact same inbounds play again after it didn't work the first time? Brutal. Just two brutal attempts by Derozan trying to create his own shot.

You must not have been watching the first half. Beyond ugly.

It was also the ugliest... Just a lot of positive.

My high school team has one offensive play and one inbounds play and we wouldn't have f***ing dribbled it off of our foot. Christ. That was just horrifying by all parties. The reffing, the coaching, the playing, all of it.

That was a disaster first half. DeRozan, JV and Amir were all playing soft on D and they weren't getting good looks, they looked dead tired for pretty much the entire half. THe refs beat them into the ground with awful foul calls, and when you start the second quarter with Stone, Novak, Salmons, DeRozan and Hayes - that's just trouble

The more I watch this team, the more I don't link DeRozan's game. Long two after long two with the occasional drive to the basket, the plus there being he does draw fouls. He does hit those shots though, but I'd much prefer him to be far more aggressive going to the basket and using the mid to long range two as the way to keep the defenders honest, rather than his primary choice. He coughs up the ball because he can't dribble for s*** in a crowd. Just like the final play last night, he loses his dribble 5 or 6 times every game going into the lane.

I like Amir's game, he plays good D, rebounds well and has a good touch at the hoop, though I think he'd be better off the bench where he could go at 100 percent for short spurts rather than trying to play starters minutes where he just goes invisible for long stretches.

They need to use Ross more. His use in the offense is basically "stand in the opposite corner of where DeRozan is and just stay there, only move if something breaks down and we need to dump it out late in the shot clock."

JV still a very big work-in-progress defensively, there's time he just looks lost. Love the O though, and love his willingness to be physical.

And Lowry is exactly what this team needs - get this guy re-signed.

From what I have seen it seems to take bigs much longer to develop, so I have faith that JV will turn it around on the defensive end. Has all the tools.

Agreed with Ross, I think he is a better talent than Demar. Already a really solid defender with a great 3pt shot, his handle is actually not bad and can clearly finish in traffic. I think he just needs more reps and experience.

If we keep the main core of Lowry, Ross, Amir, JV, Patterson, Demar (I wouldn't be against trading him, but he's not a negative asset anymore) and build around them we could have a contender on our hands, just as Miami may be coming apart.

After next season we should have a lot of cap room, with a competent GM. Color me optimistic.

That's one area I have no knowledge on whatsoever, how the NBA cap system works...

Too much complaining about a team having a dream season relative to their recent history. They've cleared out bad contracts, built a young core, and they are winning ahead of schedule. Cap flexibility is very, very good now. They can clear out a lot of guys if they want to, only Lowry presents an issue in terms of a value they could lose. Demar is well ahead of most of his peers this season, it seems absurd to complain about him when he averages 20 points a game. All right to claim Ross is a greater "talent" but he takes nights off more then almost any player on the team and Demar doesn't. In fact, it really doesn't matter who is "better" they need both of them.

I simply do not get all the complaining about Raptor and Leaf players. Teams that are bottom dwellers that become solid playoff contenders that's a good thing.

Lmao, I know.

I just choose to ignore him :). Raps situation is much more optimistic than our Jays right now

Can't we have one f***ing thread where this moron doesn't spew his s***?

Excuse me kid, but my post is on point. Seriously now, when one of you gets on here and posts this kind of reply its a huge joke. Trying to change what is actually occurring to match your fantasy of what you think is occurring deserves a swift slap on the side of the head to be perfectly honest.

CAN WE HAVE A THREAD WHERE YOU DON'T GO OFF TOPIC AND POST THIS NEGATIVE s*** JUST BECAUSE THE MODERATORS ( SO FAR ) LET YOU ?

Havok is complaining about Demar who averages 22 points a game ( among the leading NBA scorers list ), and just looking at the Portland game made something like 50% of his shots. Anyone who follows the Raptors to any degree knows it has been rare in the past that out so called stars shoot at a good percentage, guys like Rudy Gay throw up a lot of shots and rarely were efficient. Demar isn't always efficient but he's one of the reasons they are winning.

Can we have one f***ing thread where your little petulant child act doesn't surface ? Is it too much to ask for ? Do you have ANY self control ?
