The doc that Grange is putting together looks super interesting. Apparently VC wanted to patch up the relationship with management right before the trade but Babcock went full-retard and decided to trade him anyways (for complete garbage). Rob Babcock set this franchise back 5-10 years with his HORRID management. Truly one of the worst sports executives in the history of Toronto sports.

Got two tickets in the lower bowl today for 36$/pair for the Lakers game on Stubhub this morning.

 

Couldn't even buy a pair of tickets for the Leafs game last night from scalpers for 250$/pair (wayyy up top) after the first f***ing period was over.

A couple of thoughts. First, Rod Black sucks. I feel he was doing commentary on raptor games since the beginning of the franchise. He always sucks. Jack Armstrong sucks too. He sounds like he is still in the throws of puberty.... That is all.

Whatever his shortcomings, I feel like Armstrong is a perfect fit for the Raptors. This is Canada where there isn't an NBA culture. The Raptors are a tough sell but Armstrong is an enthusiastic pitch man and that's what's needed.

Not that im being an apologist but I watched the game from start to finish and the refs were awful. Case and point, probably the worst call in NBS history when Lowry was dribbling down court, makes a slight cut to the left at the Lakers three point line, gets run over from behind and trampled on, but somehow he was called for the foul?

 

No, the refs sure didn;t help, but the Raptors once again insisted on living by the 3 pointer and the long 2 rather than attacking the paint enough. Amir was invisible, JV couldn't handle Gasol.

I didnt watch the game but I heard the Refs were absolutely brutal and the Lakers did shoot the lights out from 3. The Raptors did hammer the Lakers on the boards so im assuming the effort was there at least.

Remember, officials have fixed tons of games before (Donaghey I think his name was).
