80 games left.

91 wins is looking like it could be enough for one of the wildcards.

50 and 30 baby is what it's gonna take.

Let's be optimistic here. Dickey may have found his form as an ace. JJ has been real good as of late and Mark B has been pretty consistent after his poor beginning. He'll get you into the 7th with around 4 ER every start about. That's a good 1-2 punch and B aint bad as a 3.

Rogers has been a godsend but I don't think he can last past mid August due to an innings cap. And the 5th starter is one big ?. We sure as hell got the candidates but who knows if any one of them will be any good, or healthy even.

5 minutes ago when I began writing this I thought we might have a shot. But I can't even convince myself. We don't have enough starting pitching. Oakland and Texas figure to keep being good due to their poor ass division meaning one wins the West and the other gets one of the wildcards. I think we can get past NY and Tampa but won't catch up to Baltimore. Too much shrapnel flying around the AL East to really man up and go through it all.

I think the Jays can get to 86 wins and that's it.

God f***ing dammit.

The Jays will likely have to go on one more run to make things interesting; like an 8 gamer or so. They'll also have to continue to beat Baltimore head-to-head.

He's going to be corrected another 20 times here.

Lots of ifs with our starting rotation

If RA can pitch well, if JJ can pitch to his potential, if Rogers/Wang can continue to give us good starts until Morrow/Happ come back.

We have a pretty favourable schedule after the ASB, and last 3 weeks of the season is packed against AL East opponents, so our fate is very much in our hands which is more than we could have hoped for considering our start. I beleaf

The fact that the Jays can't beat AL East opponents consistently has been the problem to date, and will be the problem down the home stretch.

I believe the 2-5 record in the past road trip to be a more valuable indicator than the 11-0 run previous to that.

Gotta keep winning

Our AL East opponents are all playing garbage teams the next few days. Have to keep pace.

I think the 41-41 sample is the most valuable indicator. They're a decent team that can become a great team if JJ and Dickey can pitch to their capabilities.

Exactly right

I'm anxious to see how JJ looks next start (I'm sure AA and Gibby are as well)

I think I was more worried about Shirtzer and verlander, but I think if we can win the series against Detroit and Minnesota we will be in good shape. It would be great to be within 3 games out of first by the ASB.

Sorry about the 100 games left. I've corrected it.

We need a big July. We need a big July or we're cooked. This is the f'n season right here. I'm thinking if we can get by TB and NY by July 31 and be within 3 of Baltimore, we'll be well on our way. 26 games this month. Let's turn it up a notch. Some guy around June 1 on the old board thought the team could go 19-6 in the next 25 games. The next 25 games takes us to the end of the month. I don't got an ex wife who always said I was wrong but that's ok. This is for that other guys ex-wife. f*** you. Here it is. Favorable schedule. Starting pitchers rounding into form. 17-8 baby. 17-8. That's what I got. 17-8 for an 18-8 July. That's what we got to do.

I've been saying this for awhile and you guys are right. Don't focus on how hard it would be to win at a certain or rate or get a certain win streak. Just take it game by game or series by series. Lets get a win tonight

No Edwin tonight :(

So both Kawasaki and Reyes are listed as SS, and there's no DH.

Haha. Just noticed. Gibby has more work to do.

Saki is DH.

Our Bench: EE hurt, Lind hurt, JPA hurt

NO BENCH

How seriously is JPA hurt? I wonder if Edwin can do anything more than just pinch hit.

DL one of them or dump a BP arm, and call up Pillar or Gose

Collision with Victorino. Sore shoulder.

Are you sure that's from the collision? Or is it from having the weight of being a top10catcher on his shoulders.

No kidding. May as well DL Lind since it's his back and we know how that's been the few years.... I'm pretty sure Edwin tweaked his hammy in Tampa and has playing limpy ever since.
