The Red Sox have won 7 of 11 against the Blue Jays of this season Felix Doubront has a 2.89 ERA in the last 8 starts, but he does have a 6.75 ERA against the Jays at home in 5 appearances. Jays: Colby Rasmus is hitting .385 with a double, 2 triples and a homer against Doubront Jose Bautista has been colder than ice ever since the win streak. He's hitting .186 AVG and .250 OBP with only one homer since the streak started. The Jays have cooled down dramatically, ever since the 11th straight win, the Jays are 1-4 in the last five with the team hitting .187. Yesterday's loss did come with some positives. The 5 runs was the most they have scored in the last 5 games, and they came down from 5-0 to tie it briefly. Jose Reyes had his first hit since his return, Lind had an RBI single after going 6/36 and EE hit his 5th homer in his last 10 games giving him 23, 3rd best in the MLB Standings: http://i.imgur.com/94uUszE.png http://i.imgur.com/9c5WY7Y.png Venue: http://www.andrewclem.com/Baseball/Diag/FenwayPark.gif I hope you guys enjoy the game and the GDT! kgm1 Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 rogers is gonna get lit up, like rly bad. OH WELL GO JAYS I actually like this matchup . This is one game I think we win. Then again I thought yesterday,s matchup was our best chance . Lets face it if we can't beat the AL East teams we just aren't good enough . Here
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 I predict 6-2 Red Sox win, hope I am wrong.
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 start another 11 game win streak today?
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 start another 11 game win streak today? I'll take a 1-gamer and go from there.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Not feeling good about this team right now, it's just gone back into April mode or close to it on this roadtrip. Le't hope they can avoid the sweep today. If they won today and tomorrow I'd be thrilled.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Red Sox f***ing us http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view6/2165613/bully-gets-dropped-o.gif
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Asked the girlfriend to pick me up some beer while she was out for the game. She comes home with Sam Adams Boston Lager. I blame her if we lose.
digiblader Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Tough one to call. Doubront is due for a bad outing.. we just need Rogers to have a good day and not tax the bullpen.
digiblader Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Not exactly--Boston's been on a tear recently. Even the Yankees can't beat them..
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Red Sox f***ing us http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view6/2165613/bully-gets-dropped-o.gif Is that Napoli f***ing up Lawrie?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Is that Napoli f***ing up Lawrie? NO. Lawrie bullying Napoli but Mike is not a fag anymore.

Le't hope they can avoid the sweep today. If they won today and tomorrow I'd be thrilled. This, the confidence level I have in this team right now is low, they look like they did in April. Those 2 dropped balls in the outfield may have cost us 2 games. It seems everytime this team faces meaningfull baseball or a meaningfull series they tank... I am most disappointed in Josh johnson though, he has had a couple good starts but has looked bad besides those. We won't go anywhere with him pitching like this. I hope they turn it around, and i'll watch anyway, but I don;'t see this team as a contender, not enough pitching, too many holes in the offense. They are 11 below .500 against the al east, that says it all really.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Well, if you take out their record against......hahaha. It is what is. JJ is inconsistent and seems to be nibbling by throwing a lot of sliders in the dirt. The guy doesn't throw as hard as he used to, but he's still got a 91-94 mph fastball so I don't know why he nibbles so much so it's probably JPA's fault.

I think Gibby was thinking Josh Johnson is too good to only last 3 + innings...that's the real issue, when your starters can't get past 3+ in 2 games you have bigger issues.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Man I sooo wanna see a dominant 8-run+ thrashing of the Sox today. 90% chance Zaun's key to victory today will be ' sinker not stinker'.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Bautista whining about hitting second not third..................... I don't see what difference it really makes.

I posted on Thursday that I had no clue why Cecil and Delabar were in that game and I thought it should've been Oliver and McGowan. The title of this article was "When GOOD MANAGERS make bad decisions" and those are exactly my thoughts, not saying he's bad at managing a bullpen. However, he made the wrong decision on Thursday and the result was a Brett Cecil pitching on Friday after throwing 20 pitches on Thursday. There's nothing wrong with pointing out that he screwed up.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it, I said at times they will make the wrong decision, the bigger is not the bullpen, it is the atrocious starting pitching, neither starter got past the fourth inning. That's the real issue.
