Bad Ideas: Around baseball forum GDT and Postgame forum Player Discussions forum Front office Discussions forum Let me know what you guys think *Fixed Personally I like everything mostly in one spot. You have to do too much navigating with too many sub forums. Exactly. That's what I don't like about some sites. Too much navigating. It is fine the way it is right now.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 If you have too many subforums people will stop browsing them. I for one don't like opening several windows for each subforum, it's too tedious. Just keep everything in one page. My one suggestion though is to sticky the Around Baseball thread. It's the one thread that will keep popping up year round.

Ideas: Around baseball forum GDT and Postgame forum Player Discussions forum Front office Discussions forum Let me know what you guys think While I appreciate the desire to be organized and have everything in it's place (I've got a touch of the OCD in that regard, might go so far as to say I'm ANAL retentive!) in practice, I often completely forget about the other two forums that are already here unless the main page has totally died. As to the sub forums you suggest, Around Baseball would have 800 threads with one or 2 posts in each. GDT and Postgame would have 2 threads per day with 800 pages, Player Discussion is a pretty central part of the Blue Jays sub forum that we already have and ditto Front Office... Personally, I'm quite fine with the current set-up.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Should have made a poll bro. In the new "Polls" subforum!

KSaw Verified Member Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Around baseball as sub forum, with a daily around baseball topic is something I'd like. The current around baseball topic is hard to read if you miss a few days. Today for example, I'd like to see, "June 26th, 2013" as the topic title under Around Baseball.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I agree, the 3 we have now is perfect.
torontofan Verified Member Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I like it the way it is. Although, it would be cool to have a gameday subform only for old gamedays, kinda like an archive. All the gamedays are in the main forum during the game and then the next day move them to an "archived" subforum.

Also, I think adding anymore sub forums would just clutter this place. Bunch of useless subforums to confuse ppl
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted June 27, 2013 Author Posted June 27, 2013 I think we should be like the old board, and have all the posts fighting for the top spot (with some select stickies) but since we seem to like the idea of off-topic and prospects subforums, I thought we could clean up the around baseball thread at least, the GDT/postgame forums would probably be a place for more individual threads about the game, instead of having all thoughts in one thread and some peoples ideas being missed. separating player and front office discussions was just tongue in cheek since we seem to like subforums so much. Subforums work better in a place like the diablo 3 forums (or wow forums) where you would have a subforum for each class, so that people who only want to know about monk things dont have to sift through barbarian things. As a blue jay fan, I want to see everything about the jays, including prospects, mlb, front office, even what some might call slightly off topic (i.e. OT - Lind's having a baby with his black wife!) so i dont want to have to check all three subforums for everything. I honestly understand the offtopic forum, but who here honestly wants to sift out prospect threads in the same way a monk player would sift out barbarian threads?

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 there is already a sub forum for people who find they need to create a thread every time they feel a half thought coming. http://www.forums.mlb.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?webtag=ml-bluejays
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 Trolling forum Everyone else forum There's an idea I can get behind! Edit: Not saying I wouldn't spend any time in the Trolling forum, sometimes I actually enjoy sparring with trolls...
