but we have 3 other lefties in the BP? We probably have the most LHPs in the BP right now in baseball. That's how stupid this is. We're having pitchers not pitch for 4 days because there are too many people in the BP

 

Do you really expect Rogers and Wang to be our consistent 7 inning starters? They are going to need the arms in the pen, what happened for 11 games isn't the norm and they will get the work.

"Drinking more than usual" can mean diabeetus, drinking from taps just means they prefer fresh, cold water... Which is also why my cats drink from the lake when they're at the cottage...

Most teams have threads complaining that they have 4 guys who should slot into the "25th man role", we have a 15+ page thread begging to keep one. Seriously we all knew this would happen, he's got options, the F.O. loves boni (and it gives them an opportunity to move Rajai), MDR was brought in for a non baseball reason that the F.O. believes in. Izturis I'm not sure but I still knew they wouldn't dump him.

 

We need the F.O to hire a clown for the clubhouse so we can get better baseball players on the field.

How do other teams manage with 7 bullpen arms (and often as few as ONE lefty)?

Not even the Astros have 8 relief pitchers.

 

Are you going to tell me right now, that the Jays starters will pitch less innings than what the Astros are running every day? Really?

Not sure..I just know this year the formula has been working for this team. The bullpen has been awesome and with the options available they have been able to match up easily.

I just think come late August it's going to be good having fresh arms. The bullpen may win a division, Kawasaki wasn't.

they could have put the cripple they have playing LF on the DL. that would have been the other move, not that I want to see Davis play every day and Bumfiasco cant play any position. he hurts the team least by being on the bench.

 

not sure how AA gets around eating crow for his comments about Boni being the deal breaker in the Miami deal. I still think it was Loria insisting and AA selling that he that insisted.
