jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 This is actually a very impressive stat. Even more hilarious when people are always predicting that theyre gonan blow the game in the GDT
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 The bullpen is very, very good The offense is good without Reyes and better with him The defence is sub par The starting pitching is awful. That's the area that needs the most improvement.

Chappy Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Wow, that is really impressive. It's actually pretty crazy that they hold that record yet still sit 7 games under .500. The pen really has been a bright spot this season and looks like we will have some significant arms in it for next season and that isn't even counting guys like Santos and Perez who may be healthy by then as well.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Wow, if someone made me guess the Jay's record in 22 games when leading after 7 innings.. I wouldn't have thought about saying 22-0. 18-4 prob wouldn't been my guess as there hasn't been many save opps we lost when the game was over.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 The frustrating thing is, if we got even close to the pitching we were expecting, this would be a playoff team. I blame this season solely on the pitching, and coaching for not getting this team ready in Spring.

Dickey looks like he won't ever be the pitcher he was last year, Morrow looks like he will never put it together, Romero is done, Happ is injured, Johnson looks ok but he was injured for 2 months. Buehrle is the only starter that has been decent, and he even got off to a slow start.

Arkadium Verified Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Such a crying shame our starters couldn't of been better.... SO DAMN SAD
admin Site Manager Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 One of the best bullpens in the league. Lind mashing. Rogers having great starts, and we're still f***ing terrible. Even Rasmus is decent. EE mashing, Jose doing okay (minus lately). That should be more than enough to be better than what we are. Rotation f***ing blows. JPA f***ing blows.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 We need Johnson and Dickey to step up so bad it's not even remotely funny

Santos has been so frustrating. People always write off this trade as no big deal because Nestor Molina has been a bust, but at least Chicago doesn't owe their guy >$8 MIL to be on the DL for three years. Worst part is that he has so much potential we will probably pick up his options and be regretting this trade all of the way into 2017.

I would have to assume that Santos' contract is insured, but you never know. It would be an interesting question to ask AA, especially considering how many injuries we've had this year.

Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 wow that is an impressive start, considering our previous years!
