Haha great game! It had a bit of everything, homers, XBHs, great pitching and great pitching D. Brother vs. Brother matchup, injuries, and trash talking. All in all, solid win!

 

Scoring Plays:

 

Bottom of the 2nd:

Jays score (Jays lead 2-0): Colby Rasmus belts a two run blast out to the second deck in right field! Lind scores

 

Bottom of the 3rd:

Jays score (Jays lead 4-0): Edwin Encarnacion hits a single up the middle, both Melky and Bautista plate, the throw from Schafer is cut off at the mound, and Encarnacion is out in between 1st and 2nd

 

Top of the 5th:

Braves score (Jays lead 4-1): Andrelton Simmons singles to Rasmus, Chris Johnson scores from 3rd

 

Bottom of the 6th:

Jays score (Jays lead 6-1): Arencibia hits one out to left center field! A two run shot that scores in Lind!

 

Bottom of the 7th:

Jays score (Jays lead 9-1): Encarnacion picks up RBIs number 3, 4 and 5 on the game with a 3 run blast on the first pitch from Cory Rasmus! Pinch-runner Anthony Gose and Jose Bautista score on the homer!

 

Top of the 8th:

Braves score (Jays lead 9-3): Evan Gattis slaps a two run homer out of the park, Freeman scores. Apparent trash talk ensues

 

Other Highlights:

Schafner catches the ball after it bounces out of the glove

Rasmus vs. Rasmus!

Gattis hit the homer and when he touched home plate after he rounded, he said a word or two to JP. During the half inning, JP and Reyes, Melky, EE, Bautista were exchanging words with Gattis and others on the Braves bench

It didnt look like he said something negative, although it could have been a subtle "Thats right". Who knows, the guy doesnt look like a pompous airhead though

remember back when Aroid yelled "mine" and then it took several games before someone threw at him. finally it was Towers and he missed the first try and got him on the second? this team doesn't play old school. they try to flash it at times, but most of their pitchers are incapable of even brushing guys back.
