Didn't watch a second of it!

Hopefully they win tomorrow. I have faith in their chances against Tampa and Baltimore this week.

I don't.. It will take them two weeks to get over this Yankee sweep.

Me too, at least they have Ortiz and Jenkins going back to back.

Not much to say. Buherle did what we expected, 6 innings of 5 run ball but the offence decided not to play when they saw Reyes in the dugout and Kuroda on the mound lol

Losses to the Yankees really are all the same...

They won't because they saw what happened to Wilner. And nobody above Beeston knows anything about baseball, so there won't be anything coming from higher-ups at Rogers.

I don't want anyone to be fired, but I think management needs to acknowledge how sorry they are, and admit where they messed up.

Yeah, I read you. I have my doubts as to whether they'll admit they messed up, but let's hope they do. If they release Bonifacio, that would be a good sign.

same old same old... one step forward, two steps back.

they hit well for a few games and then slotted back into the arrogant hero ball again. Lind and melky are hitting well and the rest are retarded.

Gibbons and Mottola must be burning up inside. how do you punish the entire team for being stupid? which arrogant twat do you make an example of?? 2 on and Bautista gets picked off at second, JPA Ks as he almost always does. Izturis still cant throw to any base. Lawrie is trying to hit an 8 run HR every swing. Bonifacio has had 1 good game so he's getting more playing time???

AA is letting the team play with DeRosa as the entire bench.

there is so much blame to go around.

release him?? he had 1 good game so they are going to give him more playing time???

there are so few players who are actually showing up and doing their jobs. most of the team should be benched, but they dont have a bench option to play instead of... ANYBODY!!

Where did I say they should give him more playing time? I said if they released him, that would be a good sign as it would mean AA had recognized he isn't as good as he and his scouts thought.

Anyway, no big deal.

I think they can do small things like bring Thole up to handle some of the catching duties.

The thing is, they refuse to, they're being very stubborn. Moves like releasing Blanco may send Bonifacio and Izturis a message. It may even make Arencibia think a little....nah, AA called him last December to assure him he wasn't going anywhere.

no, you said cut him, Gibbons and AA said he was going to get more time because he was "coming around"

Today was a pretty bad game at every aspect.. Defence, hitting, pitching and baserunning was all questionable

bitch and moan is the only option they left us with. AA is high on players for all the WRONG reasons.

is questionable the nice way to say "excruciatingly painful to watch? "

they once again looked like they did the first month. the "we got this" attitudes that is utter arrogance. they hit a couple games and thought the good times would just roll along with no effort.

well, my drugs have me seeing everything with amazingly clear 3d, I better drift off to sleep..... zzzzzzz

Just hope we won't get swept for the second time in New York this season. :(

Last clean sweep by the Yanks:

Apr 25: 3-5

Apr 26: 4-6

Apr 27: 4-5

Apr 28: 2-3

Lawrie is a terrible hitter. It seems he's regressed ever since his debut.

At times this is such an insanely joyless team. Reyes was fun to watch so he had to get a terrible injury. It's always nice to have a great young player, but that's not allowed, so Lawrie had to crash.

There seems to be a law with this team that nothing enjoyable is allowed, there can't really ever be hope. We can't have a great young player, can't have a good farm system. Can't have anything to really look forward to.

There is an chance that AA and Beeston have created a soulless, hopeless team. Old pitchers, old sluggers. Getting older.

Just a hopeless march to 76 wins and the 10th draft pick. Where a team like Houston is ready to get their franchise player in the draft next year and will be destroying us in 2 years. In 2 years we will have to watch Woj and Carloz Perez and Houstons 2013 and 2014 franchise players destroy us.

Houston Astros 2015 - most exciting team in baseball, amazing young core, fun, fun season 94 wins.

Blue jays 2015 another joyless 77 wins (again)

At least in 2011, we were kinda bad-ish, but damnit, the team in the second half was exciting. Walk off wins. Brett Lawrie beasting. A promising Rasmus. Bautista was a God. Morrow was becoming a great pitcher and Romero was riding some luck. Tons of walkoffs. EE began to break out. It was exciting as hell. now it's just depressing, lol.

You make some valid points. AA never seems to build a strong bench. Derosa has had a few games but I don't think he & Blanco are the best bench options. bringing up Thole would help out.

Lind has hit well this year against RHP, but the Jays need a DH who can play everyday & be used in the OF from time to time. I am worried that Melky could go on the DL.

Who would have thought that Izturis would be a downgrade on Kelly Johnson? JPA has to be moved out of the cleanout spot

Agreed. 2010 was also fun to watch at times. Bautista 54 HR's. The team won 85 games.

I think the problem is that the Jays sold hope with exciting new prospects coming up through the farm system from 2010-2012. Fans were excited about Deabek,Lawrie,Hutchison, Snider, TDArnaud etc. Now the farm system is depleted & the current roster of "stars" has mostly underperformed.

I still support the trades which were designed to move the team to a "win now-2015." It was necessary for Rogers to show the fans that they were serious about competing in the AL East. I think the team can regroup & hopefully compete in 2014 .

I would like a full review of the training staff because there sees to be too many injuries on this team particularly to the pitching staff.

DeRosa is probably the best starting option defensively for 2nd. I'd start him against every leftie until the team gets a better option.

they need to DH melky until he is healthy. put Ed in Left field. he will be better than a gimpy Melky and that way they can use Ed, Melky and Lind in the same lineup still...

They sold a plan of building a sustainable contender, but changed course last offseason for whatever reason. If AA had taken on contracts but not overpaid in terms of prospects, it would be one thing, but to not recognize that the Marlins had started to dump contracts in the middle of the 2012 season when they traded Ramirez is very concerning. There's no way he should've given up what he did and still take on Buehrle's deal, no way. JJ was a 1 year rental. Then to add insult to injury and overpay for a 38 year old and not recognize that he and the Mets were having trouble agreeing to an extension and who'd be a FA after 2013 was just the final straw.

It would've been better to overpay in terms of $ in free agency. Even if they made the trades, but didn't give up what they did, they'd be in much better shape as a franchise. I have bought the excuse that FA's won't sign with Toronto to an extent, but Gord Ash signed Roger Clemens, JP signed a few guys in the mid 2000's. I don't think AA tried, he used it as an excuse to get bent over by the Marlins and Sandy Alderson (with JP in there as well).

Disagree.

Rajai is a solid bench player. He's a great hitter against lefties (.343/.395/.486)

Blanco just was hired only to receive the Dickey's pitches, he's ok.

The Jays aren't playing a bad baseball because the bench players are crap, the alleged regular players are s*** bro.

JPA Cleanup hitter .230/.245/.474, .306 wOBA (1.3% walk, 33.5% K)

Rasmus .233/.306/.414, .316 wOBA (40.1% K)

Melky .283/.319/.376, .304 wOBA (.092 ISO)

Izturis+Boni -1.7 WAR

Romero, Morrow, JJ, Buehrle suck and Dickey inconsistent.

Then came the injury-riddled 2012 season and that was enough to make AA change course. Yes 2012 was a bad year, but instead of continuing with the plan, AA threw it all away completely. He could've tried to sign a a couple FA pitchers to help the rotation or given up what he did for younger pitchers.

Too late now, we're all in....a f***ing hole!
