Arkadium Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 this JPA finds more ways to lose ball games than anyone... and the worst part is most of it wont show up in any metric.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Hijos de putas, produzcan, para eso le pagar. Rogers, fire them all and call up the entire AAA team
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Still don't understand why AA chose Gibbons....unimaginative, inarticulate...dull, and he uses JPA , a guy who's numbers suggest he should be a the bottom of the lineup, instead of your hottest hitter in Lind. Don't tell me a manager doesn't affect the mindset of the players.. Next year..he better not be back...
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 JPA doesn't even try to frame, why couldn't he receive like Romine at least. Pfft, Romine doesn't even hit dingerz, Arencibia's skills are #top10catcher worthy.

I've stuck by AA but this is getting ridiculous. How the hell can he keep playing JP. Or atleast make some sort of move thats significant.

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 IMO JPA and his game calling is the biggest reason this team has the record it does I agree that JPA is bad at game calling, but I don't blame him. I blame the manager and coaches for allowing him to screw things up. Taking away pitch calling would be a good way to let him know they're not happy with his defensive game, especially when the one guy you shouldn't allow to beat you is at the plate.
baseballsss Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 How the holy f***ing s*** f*** is this Gibbons' fault? Seriously? yah you can't fault gibby for the start. That stare down he gve izturis the other day for trying to steal third basically tells you Yes the players are that retarded
Arkadium Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Izturis looking totally OK lately... doesn't strike-out, making all the defensive plays.
Shogun89 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Our only hope is that Rogers throws another couple hundred million into this team and buy our way into the post season.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Another Blue Jays starter that can't go more than 5 innings. I mean, this was the case even at the beginning of the year. There's something wrong with the way they baby their pitchers. I'll give Buehrle his due for being out there every 5th day, even if he's been bad. Same for Dickey who's been battling some injuries. I think Morrow threw 70 or so pitches? I mean, come on, this babying started with the quick hook on Dickey against KC when he was like WTF?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Thanks for the update. My first train of thought here would be that Morrow's injured and pitching through something so they're making Stilson insurance.
frizzer1 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 He's been a bit unlucky, but no doubt he's someone to worry about. If Murphy was the hitting coach, I'm sure many here would be blaming him. But all kidding aside, his struggles are another significant contributor to the team's struggles. Re lawrie.. Aside from the few games he played when he first came up,what has Lawrie ever done to show he can hit? Remember Russ Adam's September call up...a lot of players look good until the pitchers get to know them. Lawrie is always late on his swing, rarely pulls the ball, has a large swing and miss rate...in short, he can't hit. The only positive is that he is still young and maybe they can do something about his approach, or swing, or whatever... But then again, we said he dame thing about JPA,rasmus Snider et al..
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I know morrow has been off for awhile but they took him out at 75 pitches?

bronson44 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Cano's first HR was off a slider..(possible curve..either way..off speed) so your instinct in the next AB is to throw him 3 straight sliders?
Rajaifailedgrade1 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Lol the cubs and mets are better than us
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 so Tabby basically just said that Harvey is 5 WAR lol
Rajaifailedgrade1 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 We had buck twice and gave him away lol JPA young potential.. Not!
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Isn't it ridiculous that as it stands right now we've given up top catchers in baseball so we can keep JPA trash....... D'Arnaud, Buck, Napoli yes.. it sure f***ing is. This is why it's all the GM's fault.
Shogun89 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I read an article where JPA said he thinks he's as good as Posey.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 so Tabby basically just said that Harvey is 5 WAR lol I didn't hear what Tabby said because who the f*** actually listens to them but Harvey's already at 2.1 fWAR and if the kid keeps this up I'm sure he'll pass 5 fWAR
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 I didn't hear what Tabby said because who the f*** actually listens to them but Harvey's already at 2.1 fWAR and if the kid keeps this up I'm sure he'll pass 5 fWAR lol not in that way. They were talking about the Mets and Buck asked "Where would the Mets be without Harvey?" and Tabby responded "Well he's 5-0 right? They'd be at 11-28" *cue Tabby and Buck laughing*
Arkadium Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I read an article where JPA said he thinks he's as good as Posey. Link or didn't happen
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 How the holy f***ing s*** f*** is this Gibbons' fault? Seriously? Batting JP fourth sure is one of the worst manager decisions I've seen in awhile.
Shogun89 Verified Member Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Link or didn't happen It was on the star news paper I think. When the Giants were in town.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
