SAAviour Verified Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Despite requests from lgbl29 (I think is his name) to not start this thread, I figured I better do it anyway to keep the streak alive. Kuroda vs buehrle: with a fresh bullpen we are gonna take this. Morrow vs phelps: ass kicking for the jays! Cc vs dickey: close game but CC shuts us down to stop the bleeding for the yanks. 2 of 3 in New York is not bad at all to keep this streak going!
Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Some decent pitching and we should win this series easily. Hopefully R.A can shut down the yanks because a win over C.C would be a big boost for this team going forward. I really don't expect Morrow to start though. Gibbons says one thing and AA tells us everything is fine, until gameday and we hear our guy has been put on the 15 day dl. Guess we'll have to wait and see. But these guys are heating up at the right time...and it's about god damned time too.

SAAviour Verified Member Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 Agreed, I think it was strategic to hold morrow back and it's going to pay off. More brilliance from AA and gibby. Time to get back on the AA bandwagon for anyone of you out there who have jumped off.
aselvana Verified Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 lol, the near notion that we somehow affect the outcome of a baseball by investing ourselves into pathetic rituals GO JAYS GO
Caper Verified Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 As it stands now. A very smart move bumbing Morrow to Friday.

I hope so man, I'm just a little worried that it will turn into a repeat of last year. Although many think he is inconsistent, I think he took gigantic steps towards becoming our ace. Seeing him throw thos CG'S last year in under a hundred pitches and seeing him pitch so consistently gave me visions of a guy who could potentially become a CY candidate. A little inconsistency this far but I'm really aching to see what this guy can do over 30+ starts.

Ain't nothing easy for this team. I'd love it if they took 2-3. And for everyone who's forgotten, the Blue Jays are 7 games under .500. It'll be a long road back with some setbacks along the way.

They sucked at Tropicana Field even worse and if Delebar hadn't given up that homerun to Yunel who was hitting a buck seventy, we would've taken 3 out of 4 over there. The jays bats are booming right now and the Yanks are well on their way down. Winning two out of three isn't far fetched and I wouldn't be surprised to see them take all 3. I haven't forgotten they are 7 games under, but a lot of things have contributed to that, mainly bad defence and a lack of timely hitting and run production. Neither of which seem to be a problem for us right now whatsoever.

Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I'm predicting 2 out of 3. If they don't? You can give me a good stiff kick in the nuts if we ever meet. lol
RIPEXPOS Verified Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Nothing less than a series win needed.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Nothing less than a series win needed. they have to win almost all of the series the rest of the year, especially against the division.
Figgy1R22R Verified Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 I see the Blue Jays winning 2 out of 3. Tough to think MB is going to beat Kuroda, Morrow vs Phelps should be a win for the Jays and it's time for Dickey to become this teams true ace as he out duels CC in a close game. Of course would want nothing more than a sweep, but 2 out of 3 is moving in the right direction. Go Jays.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Jays bats have all the momentum coming in... Let's hope their game plan is much different against Kuroda this time... He's due for a poor outing
jaysfaithful8 Verified Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 On the topic of the Yankees series... how about Vernon Wells. Never thought he would be having the year he's having.

Plus, they probably didn't want to disrupt Ramon Ortiz' schedule.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Jays need to take 2 out of 3.. Is it sad I fear playing against wells?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Kuroda game is the toughest. I like the Jays chances in the next two but I will have to say they probably take 1 of 3. Hoping I'm wrong of course.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Why does Kuroda always seem to shut us down?
BlueJayWay Verified Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Jays are really hitting, but the Yanks pitching is good. We get Kuroda and CC in this series too. Also have lost 9 straight games in New York, and 11 of the last 12. Due for some wins?
Figgy1R22R Verified Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Looking for Lind to put that short porch in right field to good use.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Wish we were getting Phil Hughes #BattingPractice
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 We need the first game. If we win the first game I think we win the series with a chance to sweep on Sunday. If we don't win the first game there is a good chance that we loose the series. Hard to say now with the bats coming alive the past week though.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
