G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 I hope AA is on some heavy meds Not sure how else a GM could deal with all this
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 Brendan Kennedy @BKennedyStar Jenkins available out of the pen this week, Gibby said. It'll be either him or Ortiz on Monday. All depends on if/how/when Jenks used.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Of course he isnt, this organization is so full of s*** when it comes to giving timetables for players.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 AA's had about a week to come up with a better guy than Ramon Ortiz, and he hasn't. Inexcusable. The trio of Blanco/DeRosa/Ortiz is easily the worst trio occupying roster spots in the AL. Edit: Outside of Houston and Miami
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Wait, I thought Morrow was probably gonna start Friday vs. the Red Sox? And then Sunday? And then Wednesday? And then Saturday....?
IBTrini Verified Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 F Me again Brendan Kennedy @BKennedyStar: Morrow scratched from Wed start, Ortiz to take his place. #bluejays Retweeted by Richard Griffin It's tough luck but it is better if he takes a few additional days to clear out any lingering problem. It is really getting tiring hearing about all the injuries. It's starting to seem as if the Jays line-up will be in a perpetual merry-go-round state till the end of the season.

The last three times they said Morrow would start they pushed it back. I'm calling this, season over for Morrow. Next tweet in the series. Brendan Kenneday @BKennedyStar: Morrow placed on 60 day dl. That's right 60 day dl. Further tests revealed a serious back injury similiar to the one that ended David Coopers season.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 This is f***ing painful. Ouch, how can this team even attempt to get back into things with this happening? There has to be something wrong for all these injuries to keep happening.
Gen.Disarray Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Gahd damnit, of course he is missing this start. Now I'm really glad I'm going to the game tomorrow and not tonight.
Tuco Verified Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Can Morrow even do healthy and good in the same season?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 Choose to believe this relatively good news update if you like. Or, alternatively, assume 60 day DL and a re-aquisition of Aaron Laffey - Mike Wilner @Wilnerness590 Morrow adds that this latest pushback will allow him to at least throw a full bullpen tomorrow, and lets him pitch vs. NYY #Bluejays #Jays Shi Davidi @ShiDavidi Brandon Morrow says tightness in his neck gone, was looking forward to pitching Wednesday. Will be ready for Saturday Mike Wilner @Wilnerness590 Morrow says #Bluejays are being "extra-cautious" with him, he came in today with intent to pitch tomorrow. "Out of my hands". #Jays
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 Will we ever have a week where everyone is healthy and producing? Ever? No The answer is no
Gen.Disarray Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Yeah sorry. By "this" I meant the start I'm going to
DwightDM Verified Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Instead of a full bullpen, he could've thrown three innings in the game and piggybacked with Lincoln. What kind of a team gives Ramon Ortiz a start? Correction, 2 starts.. lol this is painful.
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 60 Day DL trip headed for Morrow... Watch
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 I fully expect Morrow to land on the DL. This organization seems to lie about every single injury. No reason to think otherwise here. Probably dealing with some kind of elbow or shoulder injury and they are just covering it up.
bzapple Verified Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 The constant lying is getting pretty f***ing irritating.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 The constant lying is getting pretty f***ing irritating. Beyond irritating. Makes this organization look pretty incompetent and there is no reason to doubt that.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 AA's had about a week to come up with a better guy than Ramon Ortiz, and he hasn't. Inexcusable. The trio of Blanco/DeRosa/Ortiz is easily the worst trio occupying roster spots in the AL. Don't worry bro, DeRosa will barely play and never bat cleanup. Just like Omar Vizquel last year. I am teetering right now. Part of me always wants the Jays to win, and also disprove that silly notion that money can't buy a good team, but a bigger part of me wants this whole FO to get the f*** out of here, and I think only a big losing season will accomplish that. Seriously, how do you set up to be a theoretical WS contender and have f***ing Mark DeRosa batting 4th EVER? Or having Ramon Ortiz make a start, nevermind 2 of them. Everyone here knew that Morrow and Johnson would likely spend time on the DL, knew Mark Buehrle would be pretty bad. The scouts said otherwise, I guess. 6's all around for those guys because old man river likes the cut of their jibs.
