fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 What a blowout by the Jays! Great pitching from Jenkins, and a great offensive display in Boston's fortress against Dempster. Good job on Gibbons for the tweaked lineup, it seems the hitters are more comfortable and there is more runs getting scored with the boost of Bautista and EE up in the lineup. Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Huge win!!! Things are starting to look up! Got a LONG way to go, just keep winning series and be .500 around allstar break.
dmrich28 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 nice series win! baby steps...grind it out boys!
declan_44 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Great game. Lots of positives to talk about. Are the bats finally starting to wake up/meet their potential? For someone who hadn't been stretched out at all, Jenkins looked ok. Is he going to hold down JJ's slot for the month?
bzapple Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Great to get the series and road trip win, but next weekend's series in New York is going to be every bit as important as this one.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Spent the day with my Mom (although she'd probably rather being watching the Jays, my Sister and her granddaughter don't agree) didn't get to see the game at all. Nice result though...nice day for the Dominicans. How long before Bonifacio is hitting higher than JPA?
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Hopefully they go on a roll and win like 12 of 18
DwightDM Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 GSnarls must now attend every game until they lose. 2/2 this year.

Jules Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Exactly. It will be slow, but if they're close to .500 by the allstar break then the season could be salvaged, especially with Reyes back in the lineup. It's good to see some positive comments for once.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Could anyone imagine Farrell moving Bautista to the 2nd spot in the lineup? I couldn't
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Could anyone imagine Farrell moving Bautista to the 2nd spot in the lineup? I couldn't I love it. It's a really great move that shows that Gibby is more forward thinking than most realize.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 Esmil Rogers needs to GTFO Mike Aviles :'(
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I love it. It's a really great move that shows that Gibby is more forward thinking than most realize. I dunno... I love Gibby but he's batting JPA fourth...
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I dunno... I love Gibby but he's batting JPA fourth... Meh, if that's the biggest complaint one can find with Gibby, I'd say that he's a pretty good manager.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I dunno... I love Gibby but he's batting JPA fourth... LOL, yeah, that's the thing, he loves homers.

I would rather watch him than one of AA's DFA candidates. Where did Laffey end up signing?

oakville69 Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I would rather see Lind 4th against RHP than JPA. I prefer the original lineup. Lawrie,Melky,Bautista,Edwin.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Meh, if that's the biggest complaint one can find with Gibby, I'd say that he's a pretty good manager. He's been fine this season except one thing............. His lineups are all over the place and often make no sense. Batting JP fourth? Ridiculous. What does this org see in Esmil Rogers? Dude is terrible, and we gave up a decent player to get him ugh.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I would rather see Lind 4th against RHP than JPA. I prefer the original lineup. Lawrie,Melky,Bautista,Edwin. Your best hitter should always hit second.
Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Your best hitter should always hit second. Your best power hitter should never hit second........... Your best contact hitter should.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Everyone knows that the short white guy should bat second.
