GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Shi Davidi @ShiDavidi 40s Rajai Davis left the game with a left oblique strain. We need an injury thread stickied, lol.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 Buck thinks Rajai is still in the game This is apparently a lingering injury which is NOT good for a speedster
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 "Blue Jays considered putting him on the DL in Tampa" Yeah, Rajai's gone for a while after tonight.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Probably more playing time for Bonifalacio. lawls
willhs14 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Probably not, no. http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/4307/tumblrma32oayimg1qkj7vc.jpg
Rajaifailedgrade1 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Thank god, I can't stand another circus run in center field by this joker. Horrible fielder
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/4307/tumblrma32oayimg1qkj7vc.jpg Gose is a every day player, Jays need a 4th OF
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Gose did hit a HR tonight, but Sierra really makes more sense right now. Will play against all lefties very similar to the role Rajai had, without the pinch running
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 I say Sierra or Pillar. Dark horse: Is Kenny Wilson still riding that BABIP luck?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 Wilson is injured Oh bleh In that case I'm now on the trade-for-Kyle-Blanks train.
ErrorcebiaPassedBall Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 It's not just bad luck at this point. Something is wrong with the training and conditioning of this team.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Sierra plz Hit tool +1 Pwr tool +1 Arm tool +1 Brain tool -1
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Probably more playing time for Bonifalacio. lawls this is what I fear. Gibbons has been trying to keep Boni off the field, but you just know that AA has a hard on for the guy and still thinks he can play. doesn't bode well... not much does lately
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Sierra plz Hit tool +1 Pwr tool +1 Arm tool +1 Brain tool -1 so he's got a better hit tool, more power, better arm and is just as stupid as Rajai without the speed.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 Moises Sierra has a hit tool? If he does, it's, like, a 20 lol.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Gose did hit a HR tonight, but Sierra really makes more sense right now. Will play against all lefties very similar to the role Rajai had, without the pinch running probably a good option until AA decides to look at next year. in another month AA will need to start seeing how their in club options can cope. this year is almost a lost cause and there is no reason to wait for next spring to start building for next year. God, I hope he writes this year off. trying to do anything to fix this year would be delusional at this point. there aren't enough players in the jays system to trade trying to get them to a 20 game winning steak this year.

This is my hope as well. I think there are enough pieces here to do a re-tool rather than a tear down, but only if AA acknowledges our predicament. I don't think pretending we're still in it makes any sense from a roster perspective. I'm sure stranger things have happened and there's a miniscule chance we could still get to the playoffs, but I certainly wouldn't try to force the issue at this point.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Probably more playing time for Bonifalacio. lawls Is rather call up Pillar or Sierra than have this. I think. What are my other choices???
CHRIS Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 What are my other choices??? Gardening, kite flying, model airplanes. Personally, I'm now going all-in on my lawn this summer (and I'm staying away from any JPA-endorsed fertilizers).

LOL Yeah I don't know if I have the stomach to keep watching every game this season It's too painful
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I gather no roster move announced yet? May be day to day rather than DL? @gsnarls: @Wilnerness590 @ShiDavidi DL for Davis or no? If so who gets called up?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 What is an Oblique? Fairly common area of injury http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/External_oblique_muscle Same problem that Lawrie and Morrow had last year

Beeston was interviewed yesterday on FAN590, & he said Rogers is patient & there will not be a fire sale . Having Bonifacio in getting regular playing time in the OF would be a mistake. He isn't as good an OF as I thought.
