haven't watched too many games this year . been too busy but it was probably a good thing . Bad defense is just impossible for me to watch . Frigging Davis isn't the only one .

They called up Gonzo to cover for Happ, so it seems like he was next in line.

 

Hayhurst is a reactionary idiot, you don't get credit for calling things after the fact and without specifying an alternative.

 

The alternative was OBVIOUS.... ANYONE ELSE

Having Jenkins (hurt), Redmond (hurt) and Romero as your three pitchers on the 40 man was an issue. DFA'ing all of the other old spot starters for pieces that weren't needed is another issue. Once Ricky was sent down, not stretching out Lincoln was also an issue. I just don't like anything AA does with the minor roster moves.

Still really early guys, our offense can still do some damage.

 

But can our pitching hold Tampa? I don't know this Gonzalez guy, although he looks bette than Romero and our bullpen worked a lot last night.
