Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Have you seen how Price has pitched this year? Not exactly ace material....he's been worse than Dickey. True but he always seems to own the jays.
declan_44 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 The only players that are making me proud are arencibia, rasmus and janssen, all the rest is giving me a hard time, hope from now on they can at least play the game right Rasmus is making you proud? Seriously?

At least rasmus plays good D, JP might be the worst defensive cather in baseball.

Well at least they are being clutch, showing up when we need it, rasmus for his defense, arencibia for his batting, all the other guys are just not being useful
declan_44 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I smell a troglodyte in this one! you disagree? You think Rasmus is doing a good job at the plate?
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 you disagree? You think Rasmus is doing a good job at the plate? Rasmus is far from a liability on this team. His D have been superb and while he has some serious fundamental flaws with his hitting, he is not a black hole in the lineup either. Overall with all things considered he is a positive to this team.

No disagreement on the D, but at some point his power will cool a bit and he will be that black hole.
declan_44 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Most WAR on the team! .332 wOBA is pretty good. Which is terrible to see! Rasmus leading this team! I am not disagreeing that so many are underpreforming here.
Sparky12 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 great job on the GDT, time to keep it going and get on a hot streak, good feeling about today!
cesarb182 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 he surely has a lot of K's but at least he is not hitting into dp's, messing up with runners in scoring position, hitting in infield with runners in 3rd base with no outs, everbody is doing wrong, just got to pick someone to be proud of, it's a sad situation
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 No disagreement on the D, but at some point his power will cool a bit and he will be that black hole. His power hasn't been anything special thus far and it right on par with what we could expect for an entire season which is 20 - 25 HR. He is fine hitting anywhere in the bottom 4 of the lineup.

Arencibia still isn't even an above average hitter imo, though.

declan_44 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I was referring to the guy you were responding too(ie:troglodyte)......Rasmus needs to cut the K's in half and he'd be an all-star. My bad
Respectimo Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I am blocked at work as well, which sucks! I wasn't blocked on the old forum. I know nothing about making websites, but is it hard to change the name. I'm sure I have seen sites that have 2 different names, but they go to the same site? Ie this forum could have an alternate URL that takes you to the same website? I feel your pain bro. Last website never gave me any problems.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Let's go Blue Jays! We need a good outing from Happ today.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Jays players must have built up some much needed confidence in the last few games. they have been better at the fundamentals and shooting themselves in the foot less. lets make it 3 in a row for the new board!!
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Almost time for first pitch! For those who haven't picked their player for the home run contest, there is 25 min left! http://www.bluejaysmessageboard.com/threads/62-Blue-Jays-First-Home-Run-Contest-Thread
EvilPeanut Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Glad to finally see a Jays forum that might not become a troll breading ground. Been reading the main jays board for years and had an account but never logged in due to staggering amount of fools. Lets go Jays.
Holden Caulfield Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 If we can get a quality start out of Happ, we should be fine considering Hernandez's performance this season. I do remember him having some good starts against the Jays when he was with the Indians though. Hopefully he doesn't choose tonight to regain that sinker.
declan_44 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 hehe, the GDT on the old board has 4 posts in it, we are already at five pages before first pitch. Whomever had the idea to migrate, I'll buy them a pitcher next tiem we are in the same city.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 The new board is going to take this team from worst to first!!! #NewForumLove

I guess most of the newer posters were trolls, but there were some good ones.

Or just keep bumping the mlb one

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I wonder what the admins at mlb.com boards are thinking. They probably have double the free server resources they did a few days ago.

Right now we come up at the top of the second page in google if you search "Bluejays Message Board".
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Attendance predictions tonight? lol I say 12,760.
