Happ (2-2, 3.98 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, .261 BABIP, 4.40 FIP) [L] http://i.imgur.com/CqDOcYL.png http://i.imgur.com/nSGorPk.png SP - Roberto Hernández (1-4, 5.28 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, .284 BABIP, 4.55 FIP) [R] http://i.imgur.com/JDMwXac.png Lineups: http://i.imgur.com/AdZKDdQ.png Notes: Rays: Rays are 8-6 at Tropicana Field this year Rays have given up the lead in 12 of their 16 losses, including last night's defeat James Loney has been absolutely on fire, hitting .509 (29 for 57) in his last 18 games Yunel Escobar was said to have been out until at least Wednesday after being by a pitch in his hand. He came on as a defensive sub though, and looked to have problems with that hand. He will start today, nonetheless. Jays: Jays have won their last two games, building a winning streak for only the second time this season. Lind has walked in 9 of his last 12 games, showing more patience at the plate Janssen has preformed unbelievably well in his closer roll, allowing only one run in his 8 save situations, which he converted them all. He's struck out 12 so far this season while walking none and owns a FIP under his ERA (0.82 FIP). So far, stat-wise, he is the safest option to go to in the 9th this season out of any closer. Please leave feedback and ideas/improvements for future GDTs! *edit admin note* After the games are over we're going to close the GDTs and continue discussion in the post game, so people are posting the same stuff in both threads.
Caper Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I just want to grind into 5 or 6 games back before the end of June. Big opportunities the next week. Rays bullpen is spent. The Red Sox top two closing options just went down. Cross your fingers!!
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Good job! Last night was 8-7 Jays though, not 7-6. We certainly have guys who have hit Fausto ... er Roberto well, but Happ hasn't enjoyed facing them either. Could be another slug fest.
Darth Steve Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Now this is a gameday thread!!! SCHWEEEEET! Hello lads! So glad to get out of the ever-growing negative TBJ message boards...This is like a breath of fresh air!
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Happ really doesn't have the stuff that warrants all those walks. He's turning into Laffey. Let's hope he has decent control.
admin Site Manager Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 We won a Buehrle game, that was the hard part. Hopefully we can spin this into a few more wins with our better pitchers coming up. Hopefully Happ doesn't walk seven guys today.
bzapple Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Love the effort and enthusiasm you're puttting into these. However, you should put the lineups in larger text and closer to the top of the page, to draw more attention to them.
IBTrini Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 ...Please leave feedback and ideas/improvements for future GDTs! Looks good but I would drop the venue and stadium seating since there is already a lot going on in there and it really does not add much more interesting info.
IBTrini Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Good job! Last night was 8-7 Jays though, not 7-6. I missed that - nice catch.
Darth Steve Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I like the field dimensions. I vote to keep them. It adds to the flavour of the thread and it makes it impossible to mistake it for a home game.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 Nice job MOFO!! Thank ya! great GDT Thanks! Good job! Last night was 8-7 Jays though, not 7-6. The lineups were just screenshots, but I'll write them out next time! Conflicting opinions, thanks for the feedback from you both though! I'll make a poll and see if people like it or not! Thanks again for pointing such a thing out, GDTs will only improve with feedback
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Good job. Looks like the Rays will have an improved lineup tonight. Hopefully our bats keep rolling.

admin Site Manager Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 SSS but man look at our numbers against him, we better light him up.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 SSS but man look at our numbers against him, we better light him up. Melky has 2 bombs against him, hoping for that today! Nice GDT cow, looks good. Thanks havok!

Metallijay Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Need a better start from happ, no more wiggle room this team has to get on a roll.

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Let's see if we can get some quality starting pitching! I trust in JA-Happ. Jays will beat the Rays easily today
theblujay Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 What's with the "thanks" button? and thanked x times in x posts?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Wow dude. Best GDT ever! Now we GOTS TA win this game!!!
admin Site Manager Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Can thank guys for there post, instead of cluttering up posts with just "Thanks" underneath. Also a good way to see how many people appreciated your post.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 This is definitely a must win game. Beating both Price and Moore will be nearly impossible.
