4:00 game today

Dammit I wish we were 1-1 in this series

 

The team has fallen right back, the one thing they could not do after the streak, is fall flat against the al east, and they have. Very disappointing. IMO, call me a hater all you want the pitching is simply not there to be a serious contender.

While it is true that the pitching is simply not there, like you state, there will be 13-14 games left before the ASB after playing the Red Sox this weekend. I think most here would've taken it if the team went into the ASB at .500, so that's still possible. It is also possible that the team goes into the break a couple of games over/under .500.

 

They'll have a 10-game homestand right after the break where they play the Rays, Dodgers and 4 against the Astros, that could be the deciding factor as far as whether to be sellers or stand pat at the deadline, but a lot can happen before then.

 

I don't think it's realistic to think they'll catch the Red Sox, but the WC's are a possibility after the 11-gamer we'll see what happens.

How to play:

Pick a player on the Jay's starting lineup that you think will hit the first bomb during today's game. If you pick the correct player you will earn the corresponding points. Players more unlikely to hit a home run will earn you more points than those likely to knock one out. Below is a list of the points each player is worth today. Points will change daily depending on whether the player is on a hot or cold streak, and bonus points will be available on random days. You can only pick one player, and you can't change once you picked. You must have your pick in before the first pitch of the game. Daily lineups will be posted roughly 2 hours before the game. I will post updated standings and the top 18 members will make the playoffs beginning August 26th. (playoff info to be posted later)
