I think they should start him out as a starter in A+. Give him a few starts there and if he's good bring him up to AA for starts and let him finish the season out there.

I remember reading he'll be stretched out, but I would totally welcome him in our bullpen since it looks like Santos will never be seen from again.

or unite him with Jeffress and form the duo Bob Marley

Why waste him as a reliever though? If he can start he should start. Having him in the bullpen this year would be a waste since we aren't going anywhere.

Ideally we should stretch him out down there, then bring him up here and start him in the pen with eventually moving him into the rotation. Kinda along the lines of what the STL Cards do with their youngsters.

agree

The relievers are starters who failed as a starter.

He's not going to earn a rotation spot. Might as well just bullpen the guy all year.

Stretch him out and stop trying to rush every high ceiling prospect they have. He isn't going to make much of a difference at the ML level this year anyways, so what's the point?

I'd rather him get stretched out, the state of the rotation looks really precarious right now, and the future.

What's going on with Santos anyways, wasn't the injury just minor? I haven't heard anything on him.

Minor injuries with this team generally mean 'season over.'

I'd like to see them be aggressive with Stroman. All of the reports were that he's probably the most MLB ready guy from the 2012 draft. Stretch him out and aim for a September call up.

Mstrooooo! I remember them saying last year during the draft that he might have had the best arm in the entire draft, and that it is only his hight that is really holding him back. But like Marcus says, hight doesn't measure heart!

Can't wait for him to pitch. This org needs a feel-good prospect story.

Good decision try him as a starter. If he can develop or improvement a 3rd pitch he may be productive as a starter (Nasty Fastball-Slider combo)

It's honesty getting laughable with how all these minor injuries keep turning out, would be nice if they were just honest and actaully told us to expect sime time to be missed.

His slider is just so dirty.

Hey, Reyes may be back earlier than expected, as may Perez/Hutch/Drabek.
