G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Author Posted May 15, 2013 Hopefully we get lucky for once with Reyes
Caper Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Jose Reyes is running I was expecting him to go down in a pile.
BabbaGanoush Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Awesome. Maybe another week or so before he can start going 100% and start rehabbing soon after that?
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 The Jays need to take a chance and be aggressive with Reyes. There is zero chance this team has any shot at all of coming back with a black hole like Kawasaki out there. Too much money invested in this season.

Kawasaki is a better defensive shortstop then Reyes is.... He can barely hit the ball out of the infield... but man does he put up a good patient ab.

Looked primed for a run at the batting title before he got hurt.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I can't f***ing wait for Reyes to get back.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Reyes f***ed us so bad...... and we all forgive him because of his 1000 megawatt smile.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Reyes f***ed us so bad...... and we all forgive him because of his 1000 megawatt smile. And his wOBA over .400. But mainly his smile.
Caper Verified Member Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 I think Kawasaki's arm is too weak to be considered above average SS Maybe... but Reyes really isn't that good of a short stop... defensively. Even though he's not a very good offensive ss... I would rather find a way to get Adeiny Hechavarria back and have him at ss with Reyes at 2nd base and Kawasaki utility. I wonder who we would have to throw in with JPA to get Mathis and Hechavarria back?

wilko Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 I had a feeling Reyes would get hurt this year. I think EE's next.

DH12 Verified Member Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Because the jays recognize the season is basically toast they will not rush Reyes or Happ back now. They are basically playing for next year now
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 25, 2013 Author Posted May 25, 2013 Reyes f***ed us so bad...... and we all forgive him because of his 1000 megawatt smile. No. We forgive him because of his .465 OBP and dependable defense.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 25, 2013 Author Posted May 25, 2013 Maybe... but Reyes really isn't that good of a short stop... defensively. Even though he's not a very good offensive ss... Reyes doesn't make many spectacular plays as SS. But he's very dependable and makes the routine ones smoothly.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 Are you trolling again? I hate agreeing with Caper but metrics and from what I've seen say he's actually pretty below average.
DuckDuckGose Verified Member Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 I hate agreeing with Caper but metrics and from what I've seen say he's actually pretty below average. You;re forgetting this part of his statement; "Even though he's not a very good offensive ss... The first sentence is retarded but Adeiny at SS and Reyes at 2B would be more valuable than Boni at 2B and Reyes at SS, plus Mathis > JPA (LOL) behind the dish, so I'd be fine with this. Caper, this was a bad trolling lol.
Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 I think that anyone who could possibly think Kawasaki is better at short than Reyes has been spending some time with Rob ford on that crack pipe. Kawasaki's arm is barely enough to get the ball over to first on the fly on almost half his attempts. Reyes has a canon for an arm and gets at least 20 to 30 guys in any given season with his arm alone over Kawasaki. He's already committed two serious erorrs that cost us games directly. Reyes has much better range as well and gets to balls that Kawasaki stops and f***ing bows to. I'm not sure I've heard anything more idiotic in my life. Reyes problem is that he can be lazy at times and it causes him that Yunel Escobar msyndrome where he'll just gap out and make some fairly dumb f***ing eroors that you know he shouldn't make and it frustrates you. Anybody who agress that Kawasaki is anywhere near the defensive SS that Reyes is, is a complete flaming trolling ass clown who needs to watch some film on the two guys and get bitch slapped so he can wake the f*** up. I'd rathern have a slurring f***ing drunk Buck Martinez out there playing short rather than this Kawasaki guy, at least he's have an excuse as to why he can't turn a f***ing double play or get the ball on the fly to first. Do you think it's a coincidence that this team is utterly atrocious at executing double plays? Have you been watching Kawasaki's turn and throws to first? David f***ing eckstein had a canon compared to kawasaki. Dude has blown at least a dozen or more dp's by simply not being able to execute a basic catch, turn and throw to first.....and he's better than Reyes you say? Are you hoping that when he bows, he'll blow you or something? Because this is beyond trolling, it's something I'd expect a 12 year old japanese fangirl to say.

Arkadium Verified Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 No. We forgive him because of his .465 OBP and dependable defense. Huh? This reason would only apply for when he returns.
Pete_7 Verified Member Posted May 26, 2013 Posted May 26, 2013 Reyes f***ed us so bad...... and we all forgive him because of his 1000 megawatt smile. There's nothing to forgive, injuries happen. He is the best damn leadoff hitter this team has seen in decades
