I follow him on Twitter as well and he tweets a lot about his return. I believe one was a meme that said something along the lines of: "What is that you say? Jose is coming back?" I am really hoping that he can return sooner than expected.

I think the earliest Reyes could come back would be June 13th, as he was put on the 60 day DL.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him back early. However, such eagerness can lead to a guy coming back before he is ready and we don't need any of that. We're going to need him healthy to take a good run at this thing.

Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos said it "would not surprise me" if Jose Reyes returned in late June.

Reyes had the walking boot on his left foot removed Tuesday and is evidently recovering a bit ahead of schedule, as he had been expected to sit out until around the All-Star break. The shortstop is still in the early stages of his recovery, though. A lot can happen over the next six weeks. May 14 - 6:12 PM

I was thinking, they brought up Lawrie before he got many at-bats in the minors, would they do the same with Reyes?

 

I would as long as he's been cleared to resume playing. I would be tempted to give him 3-5 games in the minors and let him regain his timing in MLB.
