Minor league hitting is different from major league hitting.

Wow, our friendly neighborhood Frag back on the main boards?

A bit premature.

Perhaps.

Doesn't change my opinion that they have done a near perfect rebuild, though

How? they basically have no pitching. What if they trade the wrong young player for a pitcher that shits the bed.

It's well known that hitters are better for longevity. The bust rate is also higher for pitchers than position players

It's a great rebuild because they can always do the opposite of this season. Trade a high rated hitting prospect for prime starter when they need it.

As I understand it they plan to blow a wad of money on pitching.

I agree with you but I don't think they'll be ready for 2016. 2017 or 2018

Sounds like a pretty good start so far.

Struggled some with the control in the 4th inning other then that damn good start

I think he'll be in the same position as Daniel Norris right now, at this time next season. Seems reasonable?

He's throwing strikes. they say he looks poised and ready to go after every pitch. Great competitor

Not unreasonable. Castro has top of the rotation upside.

I wasn't comparing the two pitchers I was saying that next year, Castro will possibly start in Dunedin, spend time in New Hampshire and finish in Buffalo. Just like Norris this season.

At this point if he has a good instructional and spring training. I wouldn't put it past the jays to send him to New Hampshire for the entire year
