GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Jake Anderson batting 1.000 let's get it
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I really like this Bluefield team. Rotation should be something sick, possibly Tinoco - Rios - Smoral - Lietz - Borucki That could be the all stud team or the all bust team
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I really like this Bluefield team. Rotation should be something sick, possibly Tinoco - Rios - Smoral - Lietz - Borucki Osuna's trainer partner Pat Murphy is almost ready
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Finally, he's 19 years old, time to start his career. f*** TJS man. Btw - I'm very surprised Conner Greene is repeating the GCL this season. I suppose he could be given a promotion to Bluefield at sometime, but he received an invitation to an instructionals last season as well as dominated EST this spring. Chris King gave him a Matt Garza comp. last season! I had a long conversation with Chris King today, he said me that Berrios is the best arm that he has seen in his league and "Crawford plays circles around Barreto defensively, but in the box, Barreto is the machine"
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Looking forward to big years from the pitchers I mentioned as well as Dan Jansen, Rowdy Tellez, Richard Urena, Alford, Anderson..the list goes on! BTW - rookie ball is showing, 4 errors combined by both teams through 4 innings Alford? He's a great athlete
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I'm not sure why I mentioned him. He won't be playing at this time in 3 weeks. f*** football
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 wow, that's pretty edgy you're hardcore man Yup, plus last time I said anything against Gose attacks came from everywhere! Lol
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 We have a reputation as being weak on development. We currently have an NWL All-Star outfielder sitting on the bench in Vancouver watching others who have yet to prove themselves! Its the same all the way up to the MLB. Management makes poor decisions and it starts at the top. This is why the Blue Jays are - the blue jays. We have a weak foundation and will not build a club that can be competitive year after year until we stop treating quality players like crap! I agree! I suggested cutting or ridding ourselves of dead weight at aaa. But that met with resistance on here. Challenge players or get rid of them instead of hanging on to crap depth just to have more crap depth!
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Is bowling a thing in the Dominican? All the latinos are posting videos on instagram of themselves bowling a ball down the lane. lol Bluefield went as a team the other night. Must have been a community thing, they were with a bunch of kids. Not very popular here.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Welcome to pro ball - Dusty Isaacs. Welcome to the USA - Francisco Rios! http://i.imgur.com/um9MXts.png at least Rios 3/4 outs K's

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Today should be a good day. Aaron Sanchez - Buffalo Frank "Knuckleball" Viola - Lansing Miguel Castro - Vancouver Ryan Borucki - Bluefield Jake Brentz - GCL GCL start 12ET or 1ET?
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Nice! Thomas and Morgan in the 3-4 spots for GCL. Definitely an exciting day!
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 The Canadians are treating some of their stars like crap! Kalfus should be in the starting line-up every night! With our "dominant" pitching, we need consistant players with solid defensive skills to take us to the playoffs. Why is Kalfus sitting? You want win titles in the minors or develop young players?

Should have been promoted.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Juan Tejada dinger, but he's old as s***
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Both. There is no reason why we can't win titles in the minors while develping our young players. Kalfus is only 22 (average rookie is around 25 in the MLB) and we need to treat our batting champs and team captains with good coaching and opportunities to succeed in our system. Sitting a switch hitting all-star does nothing for us. Kalfus will be Vancouver's hitting coach in 2 or 3 years from now.
NLJays Verified Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Matt Smoral 2.0. If they hadn't fixed Norris' delivery we would have quite the collection of 'lefties who can't find the strikezone'. Here's hoping Conner Greene continues to pitch like that at higher levels. Strange that they gave Evan Smith one inning of work, surely he'll be starting games eventually?
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Guys Kalfus has been told he won't be in the jays system following the end of NWL season
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 When is the next Sanchez start for Buffalo?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Aaron Sanchez: 1st: 1.2.3 2nd: walk + Dinger I start to hate this guy.
